Good deal. Get it out of the way early so he's not to blame all season long.
Kobe is the only leader the team needs. Hopefully whoever is called on to replace him stays out of the way and lets the team find its identity.

Lakers are a flawed team. Horrible bench and Howard doesn't fit. Should have fired the GM not Brown. I don't expect to see them winning anytime soon.

Coaching does matter in the NBA. I was willing to be patient with the "system" Brown was trying to instill, but it obviously didn't work and the players never bought into it. They threw out names like D Antoni, B Shaw, and Phil Jackson. Any of those 3 would be fine with me and the Lakers will be fine.

Coaching isn't always all about XS and Os. U have to be able to have command and control of a team. Although I never questioned Browns knowledge of the game, I never thought he had the full confidence of his players. The right coach can get this team to being elite.

You can't get blood out of a turnip and a Donkey is not going to win the Kentucky Derby. You have to have horses and the Lakers horses are flawed...

Jerry Sloan is the ideal coach for them, IMO.
Mike Brown was garbage way before the 5 games. The Lakers window is closing, and they all knew Mike Brown wasn't the answer. Get rid of him now instead of later.
