Just got back from the game...Second game without a coach and second blowout in a row. I would love to be a fly on the wall of Mike Brown's living room as he watches this.

Lakeshow has the Spurs on Tuesday standing between them and a .500 record. Coach Phil will hopeully be on the sideline come Friday vs the Suns...

Lakers have covered 2 straight, albeit against shitty teams, but I think they can start to cover a lot more going forward until Vegas adjusts.

Yeah I agree. But you still gotta be careful with the Spurs coming up and a new coaching staff. But they are definitely getting back on track.

In the short term, this playground offense will work. However, when the new coach steps in, there will be another adjustment period. Interested what the opening line for the Spurs will be. Thinking Spurs -3. Then the public will be all over the Lakers plus points at home and Vegas will cleanup.

NOTE: Steve Blake will be OUT tonight vs the Spurs with an Abdominal sprain. With Blake and Nash out, it will be up to Darius Morris?? to chase down Tony Parker.

Kobe gave Blake a ride in his Mamba-chopper to the doc's office lol

From the firing of Mike Brown through the courting of Phil Jackson to the hiring of Mike D'Antoni, with all the amazement and agita in between, it's fair to say that it's been a pretty eventful few days for the … Continue reading →

Tough loss last night. I don't know how much longer Pau will haunt me, and in typical Laker fan fashion, I will say this...

Don't be surprised if the Lakers unload Pau with D'Antoni coming in to get someone like Josh Smith or for a package to improve the bench.

The cup half full view on last night's game is this: The Spurs are the best in the West CURRENTLY and the Lakers only lost by 2 points. And that is without Steve Nash, Steve Blake, and a coach.

D'Antoni is supposed to be in LA at the end of the week, but won't be courtside until this Sunday vs the Rockets.

As much as love J Smooth, I hope they don't trade Pau. He can fit into this system and is one of the most versatile bigs in the game. He is an opposing coaches nightmare. I guy that can bang down low and step back and nail a jumper as well as make a solid pass.

I see your points and I agree to a certain extent. Pau IS the most versatile big in the game. Precisely why his decision making and lack of effort in certain situations drives me absolutely nuts. He continues to prove how soft he really is and that will never change.

If that move were made, it would absolutely make sense. Maybe my loyalty for Pau is too strong. The guy has been a class act ever since he got to LA. I have full faith in Jerry Buss and Kupchack to make the right moves.

So do I. The problem is Jim Buss. Not Jerry and Mitch.

Yea, I agree. I hope he puts his ego on check and put the team first. I'm hoping the transition that happened for the Yankees will happen for the Lakers.

Yeah I was. For one thing, there were no "We want Phil" chants as there were in the previous 2 games. I spoke with our waiter and nearby season ticket holders about it and for the most part everyone was disappointed that Phil wasn't the choice. Basically everyone has the "D'Antoni has to prove himself" attitude.

Phil was my first choice as well, but I think D'Antoni's style will give our bench a much needed boost with the young guys we have.

Yea, my knee jerk reaction was Phil, but after hearing that Dr. Jerry Buss made the final call on Mike D, I felt good about the hire. I was just curious about the vibe at Staples. Personally, Mike D doesn't have to prove anything to me. He's got Nash, Kobe, Dwight, and most importantly, Dr. Jerry Buss's endorsements. He was solid for team USA and he'll make the Lakers exciting to watch again. Not worried about the defense. Can't seeing it be horrendous like most people think with Dwight in the middle and Kobe giving it his all. Next move is to give Nate McMillan a call to be an assistant.

And they did hold the Spurs under 40 pts in the first half last night. That was impressive. But then the second half happened...

I love OC man. I lived downtown for a year when I was going to SC and hated it. I was on the corner of Fig. and Sunset. Traffic and the hassle of getting in and out was horrible and rent was expensive as hell.

The only good thing about living in LA was El Taurino and Felipe's.

I absolutely love living in downtown and hate the OC lol. How long ago was that when you lived here? A lot has changed.

On another note. How about Bynum's do? lol
