I use to hate the Lakers when Jackson's genius was at the helm. In all honesty, it was tough being a Blazer fan (still is) and seeing your team get walloped by Shaq and Co. However, with Mike Brown mismanaging things, the playing field is leveled off quite a bit and I feel bad that Nash will most likely never get a ring.

Teams are going to take away the Lakers' advantage by simply running and pushing the tempo. When necessary, they'll foul Howard and others. I think the Lakers will make some huge changes before the deadline. Nash, Kobe, and Dwight will stay. No one else's job is safe.

I wouldn't be surprised if they ship Howard. I'm sure you heard the salary tax discussion during tonight's game. It's a long shot, but Howard can't hide in some small market like Orlando, he's in the big fish bowl now.

Theres really no excuse for tonight. Dallas had 1 player from last years starting lineup and they outplayed the shit out of the Lakers. Two team with basically a new roster the only difference is The Lakers have 3 franchise players and the Mavs have 0. This will eventually all come back on Brown if things dont shape up quick.

Granted, we view the game from a gambling perspective, but I could see why Gasol committed the foul. Obviously the Lakers hadn't a prayer at this point. The foul was out of frustration and in the context of a lopsided game, it didn't mean much. Gasol felt several calls should have gone his way and they didn't. Gasol is a dramedy and my wife finds him hilarious.

The Lakers will be fine just the way they are. Gasol is probably the most versatile big in the game. He's a true team player. Really like his game. He can post low or high and hit jump shots if he has to. When they start to click, Gasol/Howard combination will give all teams headaches. Remember Duncan/Robinson? Similar situation plus add Kobe as the wildcard and Nash as the facilitator. Trust me, this team will be fine.
