Looking forward to the Nationwide race. And trucks. Haven't had a good look at the fields yet, but love seeing how the new blood looks each year at this race.

TRUCK SERIES: 7pm on friday night on SPEED channel

NATIONWIDE: Noon on staurday on ESPN 2

**wanted to make sure i posted these races and times as well....i know me and OPTI tinker in all nascar series but not sure of everybody else does or not...

i personally just have 1-2 drivers and a match-up in nationwide and truck races usually and sometimes not even that....and i DO NOT use my wagering system that i use in Sprint Cup nor do i wager anywhere near as much money as sprint cup races either..the odds just arent there to do so..i just dont have the time to put into them as all goes toward Cup races each week...i treat these as pure entertainment wagers and if they win great...but i dont risk too much on them

i had to sprinkle a little on Kyle to win the championship this year...i never bother with futures but i got a feeling it maybe his year now that hes focused on Sprint Cup

i love that fact that at these plate tracks the odds are so big even on the favorites and 30 to 1 on guys that have even won daytona b4 that u can have ALOT of drivers bet and still win a huge amount of money....thats the best thing about these races...if u get lucky and win it definatley pays off...i started jumping on several 23-38 to 1 guys that gradaed out for me with a decent shot at winning....i think alot of these longshot odds will definatley be going in other direction by the weekend so if u like longshot odds i would jump on....

i learned these guys have 0 room for error this year...changes have really made a difference....i watched both sessions and did learn some things...like ambrose is still fast for ya

Yeah. Loving the way even Amirola can top a session in an RPM car too.

Trying not to get too hopeful, or mention it too much, but am definitely grinning ear to ear every time I think about Sunday and Marcos right now.

You know what though Mike?

In reality, that 3rd place in the Shootout actually made me think he probably won't win no matter how good the car. I think he just does not have enough experience at fighting for a win to beat ANY of the experienced winners in those last 2 or 3 laps yet. And I do hate to say that. As I want him to be one of the greatest drivers ever in this class, like he was in open wheelers and V8s. And I want it all to be just natural talent. But hard reality for Marcos and me is that no amount of talent replaces experience in this series.

All about right place at right time Sunday if he keeps car clean Marcos will have a shot

yeah i would get my hopes up either, especially for armirola, he shouldnt even be in sprint Cup..lol

but this has nothing to do with team power, or how good any1 actually is usually, that will start in phoenix next weekend...

even though i will say, being the rule changes DID work mostly, it isnt as big a crap-shoot as pure tandem was last year imo...

im really excited for daytona and all, and especially just to get 2012 season started, but im really want to get to the regular tracks where hard work and knowledge actually payoff cappin the races...BUT who cares its still daytona 500 this weekend!!!!

And with that I'll start it off... Harvick +1050, Kyle +1050(last second ass cover against the driving maniac)., Smoke +1200. All 3 at Looselines this morning. Took Biffle at +2500 and Gordon at +1200 at DSI yesterday. Like Biffles odds and now that they are back to pack racing Gordon and Smoke ought to shine. Took 5 instead of 4 this week but won't make a habit out of it. GL all.

i got biff already too at +2700, smoke +1200, and harvick at +1100(all 5dimes) but i got alot to add to my roster as of yet still too..havent decided whos covering and prophiting yet....liking a few dogs at huge odds too early...may have rowdy and jeff too by sunday...

really liked the way several of my early wagers looked in the duels today...especially the longshots of biffle and kennseth at +2700, and +2800 and smoke wont be +1200 when odds are posted again either....

damn fords have just been lightning fast in speed weeks

im getting excited for the season to get started!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im still left wondering if we are going to see any tandem racing for the 500...even when they hooked up in duel #1, they could not get away from the big racing pack...still alot of un-anwsered questions even after the shootout and Duels today...going to be interesting thats for sure....

I think it might be worth fading anyone who looked like they had an overheating problem today. Or anyone that didn't have a go at pushing in the duel races.

It seemed pretty warm in Florida today, probably their first real chance to check race-spec tape amounts, etc. I would imagine anyone over heating today will adjust tape for the race and not have any issues. Obviously that will effect their speed even more though.

Marcos was overheating too boys.
