The Gatorade DUELS--5mike5

alright guys we got both of the Gatorade Duel races coming up this Thursday...

the coverage will start at 1pm est on thurday the 23rd on SPEED channel

there will also be 2 practices on wednesday, but offically those are daytona 500 practices...

**i only treat these 2 races as "extra information" for capping the 500...i will propbably just pick 2-3 drivers per race max., and just off top of my head...i will not be using my betting system until the daytona 500...all my capping will be put toward sunday, and no point in trying to use adapt my system to sprint races at plate tracks...the duels are basically sprint races that are even more a crap shoot than usual plate races, so i will treat them as just that, but you can still win a good amount of money with the odds so i have to have some action on each...

goodluck to every1 and i will be starting a daytona 500 thread in the next day or 2 also...just figured enough of us would have a entertainment wager on these 2 races so might as well start up a thread for the duels

there will be 25 participants in duel #1 and 24 participants in duel #2

the only multi-time winner of the races in the past 7 years is jeff gordon and smoke

it will be exciting yes, but i dont cap these 2 races, cause there just sprints....the few i will pick for each will just be for fun and entertainment so dont put much stock in the "picks"...but if u pick winner the odds will still be very nice payoffs

Took Allmendinger last week at +3200 to win the 500...saw lots of value. Very capable new ride he's fallen into, and AJ runs the Great American Race fairly well. Hoping to hit the lottery here.

yeah always are at both plate tracks...9 to 1 should be the favorite..has been around there last 5 years anyways

almost impossible to cap daytona races, but ill give it a shot of course....my system and cappin really gets too work in phoenix the week after...stats, trends, and my motebooks actually pay off at regular tracks

Bookmaker, Greek, Sportsbook.com, sportsbetting, BetUS, Youwager, and bovada all have had odds for the 500 up since yesterday and the first 4 have had matchups for the duel races since yesterday.

Sportsbook.com is currently offering Ford at +300 to win the race obviously somebody was not paying attention during qualifying.

match-ups are up at least...ill probably play 1 matchup parlay and maybe 2 winners for each...really just for fun as im focused on the 500 and wont wager 100s of dollars on each of these...got duels, trucks, nationwide, and cup...love these packed full weekends!!!

all i really wanted is matchup and maybe 2 guys per duel...but just for fun really...i dont plan to even spend a few 100 per race unless i see something crazy i like, but very unlikely....just doesnt make sense with the full slate for this weekend imo

I dont think Marcos will risk his car in the qual race just to get a good start. It will be a yellow fest in the 500 and plenty of time to make up positions! I think everyone will be fighting to get to the back of the pack!

i havent bet any yet...matchups at daytona are just all toss-ups...not many to choose from either....even on regulat weeks my focus is on race winners, and my 1 atchup parlay per race is really just for entertainment...

im playing the duels for fun, not using my cappin system or anything like i will for regular Cup races...ill post them when i decide, but im not putting any thought in the duels for matchups or winner of each race

i dont think edwards or biffle will even try on these duels...as long as they keep the cars clean they start 1 and 2 in the 500...however i they get in a wreck, they start the 500 in the back of the line.....theres just not any point in racing the Duels hard for them..im just not sure they risk it...i wont be suprised if they dont pull off the track near the end of the races, after trying a few things out for 500....could be wrong but just something to think about in the match-ups for both duel races

thats what im doing just betting not toooooo big on these duels...trust me ill have alot of lumber on the line next 3 days, so be nice to just enjoy the duels
