Jimmie opened at 5-1 this morning so big diff there..early bird gets the best odds for nascar favs
i hate horse racing, but whatever ur good at I say go 4 it but no way im putting big money on it. as u say everybody's got their sport

of course betting big favs is a losing proposition in any sport. That's why I rarely do it. But thers a reason just like last time here and he cashed. Except nationwide where its a cash cow and easy big wins all year long on the heavy favorite. I bet based on overall anyways not per driver unless its big longshots so doesnt matter to me which driver wins ill make around the same profit, unless longshots where i make more

maybe for you it is, im just not a fan of it

i bet on the derby for fun but that's about it for me....i didn't say anything was wrong with it, i just personally don't get into it.

For someone who is all about value and demanding good odds horse racing is the place to be. You do need to have a ton of time to put into it though. Plus you dont have to wait a full week for the next race.

But anyway how about Kurt Busch 16-1? Regardless of if you like him or not do you think now is the time to bet? Usually a good qualifier.

well i spend so much time preparing for nascar races every week i def. wouldnt have time to put into anything else but im sure it pays off if u can...only other sport i even bet is football, but i dont put any time into that, just love it and watch it all weekend when theres no race on

im on Kurt B. this week, think this is about his last chance at a win this season...so i gave him a chance!...

and yes, he usually qualifies really well here...20th in June pocono, but was rainout (thx V39)...imo id take him now, and if he gets better just add more onto him later if odds happen to get better

U box trifectas and all that or just bet on race winner?

have a feeling I would get to where I bet all tracks all day long chasin losses ect. Lol. Too much action for me. I grew up about 20 min from a dog track I use to go all the time to play poker machines and throw a few bucks on the dog races for fun. Good time

I follow the New York racing circuit year round. Aqueduct,Belmont and right now Saratoga. So pretty much 5 sometimes 6 days a week. I bet on everything from win only, exacta, trifecta, pick 3 pick 4, pick 6. Most money I ever made on one bet was $43K on a pick 6 ticket that cost $360 dollars.

Too much action certainly is a concern. Have to find a way to be patient and pick your spots. Most important thing to me is finding vulnerable favorites.

I know u do ur homework. Seems like it would be alot but I guess it's good u follow a certain thing cause in sure u know horses by name and stats ect. Couldn't imagine the stress of some of those finishes for big money!

Not saying you shouldn't bet Jimmy, but if you didn't get the early 7:30am odds then I think you're much better off with longer shots. I think Jimmy is so dominant right now that the other teams know it's either follow the leader or play some strategy. With that in mind I'd look for drivers that have good odds and have crew chiefs that will play the strategy card..ie the 2 team..I wouldn't be surprised to see some teams run the race backwards..

I love horse and dog racing but I have come to the conclusion that I'm just not very good. Slim and the other SBR horse fans know their shit and there is definitely money in it if you pick your spots. However, I cant seem to win a NASCAR bet either.

My brother Paul, who you have spoken to, bought a couple of greyhounds over the last year or so. Paid big money for well bred ones as pups. First one was awful, would not chase. But the 2nd pup has been trialing in champion times and won it's first race last week at its 2nd start.

This is Australia, if it involves sport or betting there is a lot of them here

Think there is maybe 6 major dog tracks in Sydney metropol. And another 10 or 20 in surrounding towns and country areas.

More thoroughbred and harness racing tracks than dogs.

Lachlan Bomber, he won at Wentworth Park on 17th July. (biggest greyhound track in Sydney)

Don't know how much but apparently the prize money was big.

Aside from rained out qualifying this year Newman has started better than Jimmie in last 4 here .

Thanks. Yea, Im hoping it ends up being a good number at 9-1. Hopefully he qualifies well. Track position so important here. He is also very tough to take given his recent form. But one last chance for him and Kurt. Only way I back off that statement would be if they run a good 2nd or 3rd to a dominate Jimmy. I see Stewart taking alot of money. I know he's pretty good here but isnt +750 awful short?

Some might et better but it just depend on track and who it is. Especially if we post the play, them its automatic drop in price. Lol

Well, you suggested I play Kurt yesterday at 16-1. I got Denny at 9-1 he is +650 at dimes now. What did he open at 10-1? Montoya I got at 50-1 he is 33-1 at dimes.

I told u 2 go ahead and bet him cause his odds will drop post qualifying like we discussed more than likely. Hamlin was +950, Newman 22-1, and Kurt +1750.

just tryin to help bud, it will cost u alot waiting believe me. At least in most cases depending on who and what track. But its easy to determine who to wait and who to bet usually.
