        Friday Night Footy

        Selection: : GEELONG (-14.5) @ 1.92 (5 unit play)

I'm taking Geelong here as the blues are coming off the bye, I made this play as soon as the lines were released on Centrebet.

I have read on here that people think the bye is good for teams...well I'm on the other end of the stick. I don't believe a bye is good for any AFL team at anytime of the season. The players lose some run from their legs and lose their sharpness around the ground.

7 out of 9 teams coming off the bye and not playing opposition also off the bye has lost the game the following week, with only the Hawks (beating Port) and the Cats (beating North) winning when coming of the bye and playing a team that played the week before.

The Saints are the only team to win away after coming off the bye, playing the Lions at the Gabba when Brisbane were also coming off the bye.

Look for the Cats to keep it tight and slip away in the second half of the game.

Big play! Good luck (as long as I don't end up getting on Carlton).

I have Geelong in a parlay w/ Freo and they really should win this match... They should be doing this one for Bobby too! However, I am concerned about the match-ups. Carlton's pace can really unsettle Geelong, with Carlton having won 2 of the last 3 pretty comfortably. I dont actually remember those games, but my friend does and tells me that Carlton just smashed them for pace and style.

ps. pretty sure you didnt get the opening line. Lines came out about 8PM WST on Monday and Geelong were -13.5. I'm 99% sure of this, but for some reason I can't find my notes right now.

I'm pretty confident on my bye theory and it has served me well so far

The under is gone with the first half being played the way Carlton wanted it played.
