Woodbine race 5. Taking a shot with the #4 Molinaro Partenza. Speed figures are not that far from the favorites, and has been rallying at 6 Furlongs in 2 of last 3. This is a 7F affair. Currently at 18/1 10 minutes out. 20/1 ML. Also adding the #5 Mighty Quinn. Currently 10/1 4 minutes out.Comment -

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has just approved a measure that would allow horse racing to be hosted on the beach of Atlantic City.
The bill (A-4149) would enable Atlantic City to host the American Palio Celebration, a series of horse races conducted on the beach in Atlantic City on Friday, Oct. 11 and Sunday, Oct 13. This move was likely to help in further boosting the casino resort town's struggling economy. Atlantic City has already been approved to host online gambling firms operating in the state.
The event is being imported from Siena, Italy, where it has been run for the past 700 years. The American version will have horses competing in the American classic distance of three-quarters of a mile on the Atlantic City beach. In Italy, the race is run around the town square.
“This has all the making of a fun and great event, the type of which we’ve been trying to lure to Atlantic City to highlight it as a top-flight entertainment destination,” said Burzichelli (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland) in a press release. “This will attract horse fans, sports fans, families and those simply looking to see a unique event on the beach in the autumn. Changing state law to allow for this great promotion is the least we can do as we continue striving to make Atlantic City a great place to visit and spend time.”Comment -

That is just about the only horse that ran how I thought and the horses that are winning have me scratching my head.Going to try and erase today from memory . I've been looking at tomorrow for a couple days now and even though it is a great day of racing,

For betting purposes I have to say Santa Anita's stakes filled card trumps Belmont's.
Going to be hard to break up the top 2 in the Beldame , have to stick with Royal Delta,Sylmar .

Whoever has been able to get over and set the pace on the rail has had a big advantage over the last few weeks on Belmont's main track.In the Kelso that is either Souper Speedy or Graydar but blinkers on should give Hymn Brook more early speed.

In the Vosburgh Private Zone looks like the lead rail horse with Bahamian Squall and The Lumber Guy somewhere close.
Like Tannery but being coupled with Laughing is going to hurt her price.Somali Lemonade has been asking for more ground in just about every one of her 14 starts and finally gets it here.I guess Kissable would be the other horse and is very good when rider doesn't butcher the trip.
I've soured a little bit on Nutello after Navarre's off the board dud at Santa Anita yesterday but that might have been a hard turf course not allowing anyone to make up much ground.Slumber gets a class test after a couple easy wins against some pretty good horses.Guess you have to throw in the C Brown entry for exotics but would try to beat them if just placing a win bet.
The JCGC looks like a good spot for Palace Malice and Orb to try older horses and Flat Out just comes alive at Belmont.Palace Malice was probably best in the Travers if not for a terrible break but still made an incredible run into a slow pace.Castellano gets a try on Orb for the first time and he may have just been short from layoff in Travers.Like Cross Traffic but some question marks like the distance and maybe using this as a prep linger.Comment -
Other races at Belmont have some possibilities
In race 1 Mr Rosenthal is 8-1 with a chance and Sky Blue Pink is 20-1 and one of these days is going to put it together.Makes a nice late run every race.The other one would be Fourseventeen.
Race 3 Good Response is 6-1 in the classic McLaughlin maiden 2nd time starter /first time turf.Romans Paradise 15-1 and Behedeman 20-1 can improve a ton.
Race 4 is tough but Luxury Appeal 8-1 ran excellent against the track last out and comes back in a protected spot.Crafty Dreamer is better than last and Asmussen also protects Western Grit after risking a claim last out.Comment -

What a horrible beat. Monmouth I think. "Stevie Loves Women" just cruising in the stretch, really gains no advantage as he's blowing past and bears in on the horses he's crushing and gets dq'd. I was this close to betting and passed. Wheh!!Comment -
