I didn't see many of the races but I did see a few including the 4th race at fairgrounds

I made a comment about how you had two long shots on that race that were right there at the finish and how exciting it was


I then read the note under your picks about not commenting on picks because you might watch later. So I edited my comment. I put my reason in the edit comment box but it didn't take I guess?

Anyways I would never comment on a bad day, but from the races I saw I didn't think it was bad. The 4 race was worth the price of admission alone. I think I tailed and won some money on mountain tree as well, so thanks

no I didn't take it as a derogatory remark..I think it's something that needs to be pointed out every once in a while as it's my belief as to the realities of this game..for the most part when I do bad I don't feel it was because of bad handicapping..I am careless on occasion and look back and say how did I miss that or a gray area decision that I feel i went the wrong way with but I feel these are more the exceptions rather than the rule..I don't watch trips or note biases from past races so that type of info not part of my decision making process..most of the other important things I do look at though

really bad trip last out and in vs listed stakes horses 2 back.. starts 3 and 4 back fit well vs these.. think that ml a little too high

this race clm 5k n1y (6 months 9/22)..last win for this horse on that date so he just qualifies..claimed last race by a way above average 1st claim trainer ..think he's very capable vs this field

Regarding your comment on Laine’s peach exiting a fast figure race - what figure are you going off of? (I own the horse that ran 2nd that day and we were 8 clear of everyone else. We would have been 3/5 in this spot yesterday but are opting to come back against straight 3yos next week)

no problem ..brisnet figure..laine's peach ran a 50 in that race and lost by 15..at about 1.5 pts a length that means the winner ran around a 72..the par for msw at fonner park is 63..so that race was about 6 lengths faster than par

actually think it's 1.7 to 1.8 per length so it's more like a 75-76 final fig for the winner of that race..very fast race for that level

The winner that day probably could have opened up even more.

Oddly, the equibase figure changed for both us and winner to a lower figure a couple days after the race.

not surprised they lowered it..7-8 lengths is a lot and guess whatever their process is thought that was a little high
