He will either beat him outright or he will run Chrome into the ground. I don't see a triple crown winner . Social will be fresh and has the early speed and shorter distance to cause to many problems

#2Does Inclusion want the 1 3/16. Or will he fade late. Don't sell CC short. He has that deadly tactical speed. Also Inclusion was recently scratched for his next scheduled start. Rooting for CC to win the Preakness. Then will try to beat him in the Belmont.Comment -

He was scratched yesterday but all signs point to Preakness .Hoppurntity as well both had bruises. I do see Chrome with tactical speed but Social speed is different than any of the horses Chrome faced in the derby. Chrome is going to have to apply some pressure early . I think Social Inclusion is just as talented as Chrome just didnt have the racing experience nor points to get to Derby. This race sets up perfect for him to steal on the frontComment -

#4Social Inclusion, who missed getting into the Kentucky Derby on points after finishing third in the Wood Memorial, was scratched out of Saturday’s $75,000 Sir Bear at Gulfstream Park with what owner Ron Sanchez said was a bruised right hoof.
Sanchez said the colt -- who won his first two races at Gulfstream by a combined 17 1/2 lengths before finishing a nose out of second in the Wood -- was doing well and he expected Social Inclusion to still make the May 17 Preakness Stakes in Baltimore.
"We had to scratch because he bruised his hoof this morning," Sanchez told Gulfstream Park’s publicity department. "He's OK, he's going good and it's nothing serious, and this thing will heal in two days. But we didn't want to take a chance running today with the big race just two weeks away. We always have to do the right thing by the horse. Right now, we've arranged to go to the Preakness on (Wednesday), but I think now we'll probably just go (Thursday)."Comment -

#6When is the last time you bruised your foot and it was fine in 2 days. Horses are no different, just heavier . The BS meter is lighting red.
Yes, it will only take 3-5 days to be able to train properly but... you typically can't work for at least a week and that race yesterday was basically a work to be ok for the Preakness. That means he misses a full week of training at a key time. So let's follow this closely. This horse in my eyes ran lights out in the Wood and simply ran out of lung capacity. That would make sense with the ease he won his 1st two races .
Where I would really think he had a big chance to win before, the scratch is HUGE and we will need to watch and see what takes shape in the next 2 weeks.Comment -

#7think it was a planned scratched . He wasn't going to run the horse in two weeks for Preakness for a 75k stakes race . They have had the Preakness planned all along . I'm hoping for 7/2 on Social Inclusion
Horse been flying around the track on workouts as well.Comment -

#9Its going to come down to who enters the race with them. Fact is Hoppertunity needs a solid pace to run after if he wants to be close to CC, Social Inclusion's only hope is to be the lone speed of the race, and force CC to challenge him from the beginning.Comment -

Hoppertunity is off the triple crown trail. As to the title of the post I agree. have been saying the same thing for weeks. He clearly has the best chance to upset CC who will be odds on in the preakness. Kid Kruz could be an off the pace threat but has never faced the quality of horse that he will see in the Preakness.Comment -

#12Looks like Pablo De Monte will enter the Preakness, so there is some solid pace along with Social Inclusion. Which IMO will put some more test on CC to either choose to stay with them or let them go and try to rate further back.Comment -

#18Social Inclusion is shipping Tomorrow by Van to Pimlico. According to his connections he has recovered from the bruised foot. Based on Str's post #6 would tread carefully with SI.Comment -

#20If Social Inclusion is alone on the lead then maybe but as someone said, if Pablo Del Monte or others are there, CC will have his way. Probably only would need to worry about Hoppertunity.Comment -

#23I'm no expert, but I'm having trouble seeing a horse that ran out of gas at 1 1/8th of a mile win at 1 3/16th. Maybe not a good distance for Social Inclusion. He is fast, but I'm only seeing 4 horses (others) in the race down the stretch. California Chrome at the top of the list. He's shown that he can win a fast paced race as well as a slower one. He did that in the Santa Anita Derby, finished in 1:47 seconds.Comment -

#24Looking at the way the field is shaping up, I will likely be looking at SI not hitting the board. The pace is going to be strong, with Pablo and Bayern helping along the way. A horse that couldn't hold a tough pace in the Wood, isn't going to hold a tough pace while adding more distance.
A couple of closers under CC will be my tri tickets and hope to score a better price.Comment -

This is almost like a class drop for Social Inclusion. Samaratt, Wicked Strong, the 1-2 finishers in the wood both ran relatively well in the Derby. Horses like Bayern and especially Pablo Del Monte are a cut below. Social Inclusion is clearly the second likliest winner but I have cooled on him a bit lately..
Im hoping Chrome wins the Preakness and loses to Tonalist in the Belmont, which is very likely IMO. Tonalist is the best 3 year old in the country right now.Comment -

#26ill tell you what, ride on curlin...will win one of the next two races..........take it to the bank.do not underestimate him in the preakness.he will be way closer this time, all these trainers are all playing mind games with each other, acting like he is going for the lead, just your basic chit chat,hype......ride on culin, can go right out there if he wants to, s.i. has a ton of speed, it will be a great race, remember the shackleford race....This is almost like a class drop for Social Inclusion. Ride On Curlin might win his next start after the Preakness. It will likely be an overnight stake or an allowance race.Comment -

Who Untapable?
No she isn't running and that's probably why it is so wide open.Stopchargingmaria is the vulnerable 7-2 fave.
Not sure who I will land on yet as there are quite a few that look live.
