Tough loss but a game that could get a lot of it back is DET vs CBJ tomorrow. Why is the DET line only -135 with DET winning last 9 of 10 h2h and CBJ on a current losing streak. Is there any way CBJ wins tomorrow? Also, on saturday both teams play again but in DET. This has to be a game where we can all make a lot of dough!

hopefully the two of us can bounce back tomorrow, funny thing of it is that most of my losses come in hockey (the sport that I teach for a living, lol). Despite how much either one of us may know about this great sport, it is very challenging to cap. Just look at the touts, anyone in the green is a superhero

Okay well after thinking about this for the last few hours I have found the only solution that is gonna work to get me back on track. Basically what that is, is starting fresh tomorrow. Each team has played at least 41 games so let's call it the mid-way point of the season. I am not afraid to say that the first half of the year was a travesty. I have always been a numbers guy and with that massive red number staring me in the face everyday it is severely hindering my capping abilities and bankroll management. So starting tomorrow I am:

0-0-0 $0

With a "fresh slate" I will bet smart and not continue to chase that never-ending red number. Sticking with the theme of change I will be posting my plays a little differently as well.

1 unit for me is $100 as most of you know. All my plays will be from $100-$500, so 1-5 units. I will be using some symbols to keep it fresh and clean and sticking with this positive change. I got this idea from TA last year, I'm not gonna lie. I like the way he had his plays set up. This may seem lame to some of you but fcuk it, change is a good thing sometimes.

= $100 (1 unit)
= $300 (3 units)
= $500 (5 units)

I will primarily be using 1-3 unit bets, with occasional big bets of 4-5 units.

Pretty simple as you can see. I will also have some special symbols once in awhile just for fun mostly and to keep things interesting.

- Insane in the Membrane
-Will be posted for head scratching plays that don't seem to make a lot of sense, but have great value.

- Zen Power
-Will be posted for plays made strictly on gut or visions/dreams I've had

- You Homer
-Will be posted for any bets on Canucks ML, PL or team totals just to remind everyone that I can be a homer.

- Johnny Chase
-If you see this next to a play it means I am chasing earlier losses. Beware of these ones if I do them.


- Sports Betting is Rigged
-"Inside info." Just kidding, if you see this it will be a play based on fading the public or line movement.


- "It's a Trap!"
-If it seems like a trap but I can't resist betting still I will post this.

If you're betting $100 per unit, your bankroll should be close to five figures, at least. That's my opinion.

DG, just a thought. You might want to edit your first post in the thread and include the symbols that you've come up with. That way it will be easier for your followers to find the definitions if they've forgotten.

I mean VAN has been an unreal team to bet on. Home team or not. They have been huge money makers minus last night. Just went big at the wrong time. The rangers are a pesky team and always put up a fight. Hope u dont swear off betting them cause i know i wont.

I'll still be betting VAN games a lot as I know the team very well. However I
need to recognize when they are in a bad spot and not be afraid to go against them. I did once this year when they played Philly.

Washington has looked out of sync pretty much all year and with Varlamov/Luongo in net there's a good chance they keep this low scoring.

Yeah I'm still seriously tempted to hit the Canucks team total hard but may just stick to the ML. I think they are worth a shot there at least as I've seen the Caps play recently and it's pretty bad honestly.

Gigi is a sharp mofo that loves to bet value. Like any other capper it works out and doesn't sometimes. Based on recent play the Wings should win tonight as Columbus can't break their way outta a paper bag lately. I definitely wouldn't be starting Mason tonight in fantasy hockey. Could very easily give up 3-5 goals.

Good move in terms of starting fresh. Just looking at red numbers is bound to make even the most disciplined capper chase and put them 'on tilt' so to speak and betting things/ammounts that they usually wouldnt.
Smart move imo to reset and build it back up

Just remember how respected you are on here and that even through the bad runs that the majority (bar a few haters) still have total faith in you and that goes to show you are a great capper.

Keep it up dude im sure you will come out on top in the end
