they may surprise some people this year. I think Lehtonen has the stuff to be the best netminder in the game....provided he stays healthy. If we can get 60 games out of Kari....we make the playoffs. Period.

Me, too. The Devs can score a decent amount, and their defense isn't going to be at their best for a little while. They've got good defensemen, but I think it might take a little while for them to really start clicking.

Looking forward to reading your thread this year DG (you are who we thought you were!). I couldn't tail you on Nj last night due to the fact they were playing my Stars. I know everyone is dogging on the Stars right now, but I honestly think they may surprise some people this year. Thanks. I actually wasn't on the Devils yesterday, Just Enough was. He asked if he could post in my thread last year and I said sure so he will be posting his plays in here all year. I typically have plays most days usually but sometimes on days with only 2-3 games I will pass altogether.

NJ/WAS Over 1.5 (1st) (-113) Pinnacle $226 to win $200
-The 1st period over was 3-1 in their 4 meetings last season and both teams have a lot of skill up front that can pile up the goals in a hurry. With both teams coming off disappointing losses in their openers I expect a fast start in this one.

PIT -0.5 (-118) Pinnacle $118 to win $100
-You have to think the Pens have had this date scheduled on their calender since last summer as they were eliminated by the upstart Habs. With a loss in their first game in their new arena you know they don't want to start 0-2 especially against the Habs. There will be no Halak to save Montreal this time.

OTT/TOR Penalty First 4:59 (+130) bwin $100 to win $130
-I am loving that they have adjusted the lines on these bets as all of last year they were -125 for penalties in the first 4:59. There was a penalty in the first 4:59 in all 6 meetings last season between the two clubs. They are pretty much each others most hated rivals and with the crazy crowd in Toronto I could see there being a fight off the opening face-off.

These are my plays for the 4 PM games I will have some for the 7 PM games as well in a bit.

Yeah that is a tough call. I still think there's a good chance the PL hits. I would avoid the ML just because it's so juiced and play the PL if anything or just pass on it altogether.

Pens got blanked in the first against phi, only bc of a wunderkind rookie goalie who also received a few breaks.

Agree that after losing to the flyers(also a good value play tonight) and the playoff revenge to boot the pens will look to strike early/often against the habs
