ohio state won and covered 7 to win by eight in double OT.
UTEP blew a 7 point lead with 4 minutes or so left to lose by 8.
gotta watch out for the teams that are already in, less motivated.

terrible nhl night, 1-6. some goalies stood on their heads last night.
won a lot a money this week, spreaded it around rather than increase the size of my bets. bad money management.
The good news was that I went in college BB saturday.
Way off on vancouver, which I went to last night. I never considered how electric the crowd would be, especially the second. It was hard not to cheer against my own bet.
Today, I took nucks, as it will be crazy again, sharks and minny. I also took chi, but l woke up after the first, happy.

2-1 yesterday, and good profit as I doubled up on the nucks after going 3-0 in college BB.
Chi blew the game for a push. As I mentioned a while back, I am only playing regulation, unless stated, after some sad OT efforts lately by teams.
A good week, even though saturday was a wash, as I got side-tracked by college basketball. I hope some of you were following my BB picks as I went 17-6 this tourney, and it all begins again next weekend.
Today I am taking NJ as they have found their offence, despite dominateing with danis in net saturday, and losing. Brodeur will play at home against a boston team losing 3 of the last 4. pinacle -.5 regulation +107
Calgary looked good enough to beat vancouver yesterday, after the first period. I don't usually bet on any team to win going into calgary, but this is for a playoff spot, and B2B with detroit looking to avenge an earlier lose to calgary this week. Was calgary tooking ahead yesterday, doesnt matter as detroit is hungrier. I took detroit -102.
The third game has Edm and jackets, but no odds yet as nash and huselius are questioable. Obviously jackets win if they are healthy, but the odds will decide if i stay away. Stay tuned!

the POD streak has ended at 6-1, no must tail here. Work distracted me yesterday, and it cost me. I didnt like any game yesterday really. Luckily I took nashville, overtime by mistake. I hope all of you had some luck as I went 1-3 in the NHL.I still managed to win $94 dollars yesterday on the NBA/NCAA as teasers are my new toy these days. You can tease the lakers and suns down to 1 and 5, too easy.
In retrospect, I should have seen it commin! I thought it would have come earlier, but the nucks could have won by two if the refs didnt give NYI phantom calls, and let NYI intefere and obstruck whenever they wanted. That fourth goal was goalie interferance. A couple of Vancouver powerplays would have helped. Cuddos to anyone who bet on NYI.
I also took a spring training MLB underdog game for kicks. Good underdog odds, and they often win. It's like flipping a coin, but at +130 or so. There is some strategy, so there is money to be made. 4-2 this year.
Today looks like a good day with only 3 games to study. I bet NJ -135, Calgary +102, and Ducks +129. gotta bounce, BOLComment -

i agreed with the nhl picks but parlayed the devs and under with the flames and under along with the ducks. after that ticket chit the bed due to the devs going over i placed one more using the flames, flames under 5.5 and the ducks~7.5:1
add that to the ncaa parlay i hit(prince/app/ill) tonight and its been quite the day for me too....for once

Yesterday I took a shot with -/+ .5 in regulation as I was on the wrong side of 5 overtimes last week. Something is wrong with OT at this pont in the season as teams are playing too conservative.
I agree with the person who said teams should get 3 points for a win. 2 for an overtime win and 1 point for an overtime loss. There would be a lot more motivation to play a 60 minute game. Even zero for an overtime loss would work.
I was 2-1 yesterday with detroit and Ottawa. The other game saw LA win in OT after colorado scored with seven seconds left, but I lost. There is a lot of late goals lately, and I wonder if LA would have played differently if they knew they could get zero if they gave up a late goal.
If I had just played the three teams straight up, I would have won all 3. But I want to try my theory again so I put $110 on NJ -.5 regulation -115, vancouver -.5 regulation -135 and SJ -.5 -115.
It's a little more challenging to pick these kinds of games, but it's a little cheaper to play than straight up, unless you take the underdog +.5. let's see what happens!

It worked again.
I went 2-1 on favorites, and won morey money going -.5 regulation than straight up.
NJ and SJ paid better at -.5 and Vancouver lost less going -.5. WIn-Win

2 out of 3 aint bad, with detroit and NYR winning, and losing on buffalo, which was a foolish bet really as montreal and buffalo often hit OT.

I employed this strategy tonight and lost on the Caps (should have known better in that series and I put too much stock in the Pens' scratches), and won on Detroit with Colorado pending. I should have written down the odds to see how how much better I would have turned out had I played all 3 straight up on the ML, but I think long run betting regulation will earn/save more money than I lose by having a team win in OT. It does seem to me that I lose a lot more in OT than I win, but that might be my imagination since losses linger longer than victories in the mind.
Anyway, I like your thought process on this. Seems like a good play this time of year.Comment -

Late goals are plentiful this time of the year, and I don't see any way for us to protect ourselves. I would have went 4-0 yesterday if I went straight up to.

Went 3-1 yesterday, but could have gone 4-1 if I went straight up. In retrospect, Buff/Mon was labeled OT.
7-3 the last three days, and I won more on most of the winners, and lost less on the losers.
I think play -1 with OT would result in a lot of pushes, but 3-0 -1 yesterday.
I think it is best to play -5 regulation on games that have high stright up juice.
Today I will keep trying -.5 regulation with NJ -112, SJ -135 and cal +114.
Also thinking chicago -.5 +105, and nash and stl straight up, but for y money, college bb is safer than any nhl game today.Comment -

5-5 night paying the book juice, but not much as the three hockey losses were -.5 regulation.
This happens at the end of the year in every sport. The last two weeks of college ball were crazy too.
It's time to play less games, and choose wisely or play the underdogs. I will do both!
Friday, my best and only play is buffalo -.5 regulation.
