I have been betting the puckline minus 1.5 pts everynight on the biggest home favorite. Doubling up and chasing when I lose. My record without chasing is 16-10 puckline on the BHF. Betting $100 a unit and doubling up the next night after a loss, I am +22 units for nearly $2300 profit. Last 2 have been losses so I will go 4 units on Washington to win 5.4 units. I've thought about this but never really looked into it. Remember someone doing something similar with MLB with a 6-game-progression chase system and it worked out without any losses, although they never started tracking until June. Are any of your losses on a team playing back-to-back? Or any of your wins?Comment -

There's a thread about betting on the biggest dog on the +1.5PL. It went well Oct and Nov but started hitting less in Dec and was horrible in early Jan.
I looked at the past two years and the +1.5PL seemed to do better in the first half than the second.
So the -1.5PL started poorly, but has been very good of late. More research may be needed but the +1.5PL may be good to chase early in the season and the switch over to the -1.5PL in Dec or Jan.Comment -
I agree. Thats exactly what I did. BHF records for last 3 months: NOV 10-18, DEC 15-14, JAN 16-10. A few nights only had 1 game or none around xmas. BHD +1.5 points is very good all season but the payout is only 30 or 40 % usually. From Nov-Today BHD +1.5 is 64-19. Never more than 3 losses in a row, which happened once! So if you bet accordingly after a loss, you will do quite well over the season.sbrComment -

You might hit 50% but if you chase and double up after a loss you'll make money. Lets go with the Caps tonight at 2 units, double the loss from last night. I like the NJ game aswell though. I had San Jose as the BHF last night which came through -1.5 for another win. Should have taken Calgary aswell at -1.5. I watched the game last night and it was brutal! Tonight we have the Caps once again. They have been killer lately and bringin in good dollar. Unfortunately they are so good that the line is only +105 right now. Oh well, gl all.
