G1 means they have lost 3 games in a row by at least 2. G2 means they have lost 4 games in a row by at least 2 G3 would mean 5 games in a row by at least 2. The logic here being they are due to win. I've seen this work in baseball (teams trying to avoid a sweep).

Oddly enough tonite we have LA which has lost 4 in a row vs Dallas which has lost 3 games in a row. I can see the logic behind this system.
