I have to say that I took Tampa Bay to win the Stanley Cup few months ago. The odds were +2500 then and I was expecting this team fighting for the Stanley Cup. I am in the same page now, but the Stamkos' absence could be too big for them in the playoffs.
Anyway, lets focus in this game. The Lightning lost the first match against the Islanders but it was not fair into my eyes. The Islanders had a confortable lead that changed completely the picture of this match. Tampa Bay was the only team on the ice but it was because the Islanders didnt need to play, they just needed to keep hold their advantage.
This match will be different and I expect Tampa Bay crushing them. For me, Tampa Bay has one of the best rosters in the league even without Stamkos. They are better in every single line and playing at home, with the desperate need of a win to even the series, sounds perfect to back them.
The most important thing for Tampa is not to allow a goal in the first minutes like they did in the previous matchup. If they do, I expect an easy win for the home side in here so thats why I am taking them in regulation.
