great call there Stars, even with the new work shift you still got itI believe its a GOOD bet, Benn back in lineup, and I haven't seen starting goalies but Lehtonen hasn't been the same since his injury. Stars might even have backup go for change of pace, but I doubt it cause the playoffs are slipping away. I could see the STARS winning this one after being embarrassed by CHI but safe pick is OVER,

really liking the Devils at home and Kings at home again. Also looking at Penguins at home, Bruins on the road, and Blue Jackets at home. Going with a trend play today..here is trend..Over the past two-plus seasons, home teams are 50-64 (.439) in this quick road/home turnaround when facing a team off moderate rest (less than four days). And in most cases, the visiting team is cashing in as a solid underdog.

Leans for 3/19/2013:
Sabres @ Canadiens, Canadiens -.5 in reg (waiting for line) -- Sabres average 2.44 GPG on the road but have a 3.19 GAA on the road as well. Their road record is 5-11 and this will be their 3rd game in 4 days. The Canadiens average 3.14 GPG at home while having a 2.43 GAA. They have a 9-5 home record and are on 2-days rest. I fully expect the Canadiens to win this one in regulation, may even look at the PL.
Capitals @ Penguins, Penguins -.5 in reg (-123) -- Penguins average 3.5 GPG at home while Capitals give up 3.46 GPG on the road. Capitals only score 2.46 GPG on the road and the Penguins play decent D at home with a 2.43 GAA. Penguins are 10-4 at home, winning their last 7 there and their last 8 overall games. Capitals have an unimpressive 4-9 road record and this will be both teams 3rd game in 4 days. Will likely look at the PL here as well.
Coyotes @ Kings, Kings -.5 in reg (waiting for line) -- Kings average 3.5 GPG at home while the Coyotes average 1.69 GPG on the road. Kings playing solid D at home lately with a 2 GAA, even Quick pitched a shutout last night. Kings are great at home while the Yotes are 3-10 on the road. Here's where it gets juicy... Both teams on the 2nd leg of the B2B (obviously as they played each other last night) and the Kings are 3-1 in B2B situations while the Coyotes are 1-4 in B2B situations. Teams coming off a home win and playing the 2nd leg of the B2B at home as well have won that home game 13 times and have only lost 3 times (Winning 81% of the time). This may be my play of the day.
Rangers @ Devils, Devils ML (-120) -- Rangers have not won in a B2B situation all year. Rangers are also 4-8 on the road this year while averaging a lowly 1.58 GPG on the road. Devils are nothing special this year but they are on 2 days rest and do play better at home than on the road. Also, A team coming off a home W and going on the road the next day (Rangers) have lost the road game 78% of the time. the more I look at it this game may go Florida's way. Teams coming off a Road loss then playing at home the next day (Canes) are 7-14 in that situation (losing 67% of the time). Florida may be a good value pick here, but I still don't think I'll take them. Will be a no-play for me.Comment -

Predators @ Blue Jackets, Blue Jackets ML (-115) -- Predators are only averaging 2.06 GPG on the road but have scored 3 or more in their last 4 games. However, they are going against a Blue Jackets team that is on 2-days rest and Bobrovsky has a GAA of .73 in a 6-0-2 stretch. Predators are 5-12 on the road and i don't like them in this spot here against a Blue Jackets team that has won 5 of their last 7 at home. Like the value of the Blue Jackets here.Comment -

According to BBB, Bruins got in on Sunday night and had a full day of rest yesterday. Tuuka has been playing very well and the Bruins (on the road mind you) just held the league's best scoring team to two goals. Hi guys, my thoughts today:
Agreeing with the huck on Bruins and CBJ. But not going to go too hard on the blue jackets because I think Preds may pull something out so not going to bet on this game. As for Habs, I think this is bet of the day. Also really like NJ moneyline.
I like Pens/Caps Over but going to wait for a decent price. As for Pens, I would take pens PL rather than in reg or ML because I think if they win today, they win big. Caps will go hard as their next 3 games (Pens, Jets B2B) Will pretty much decide if they have ANY CHANCE at a playoff place. This is why I like the over and Pens PL.
Also like Kings and Panthers today, Florida have been rubbish recently but I think they might get this and at over +150 ML I will take a shot.Comment
