Nobody knows whether Books release the correct closing lines. From my experience, I see different closing lines between Pinny itself and SBR that posts Pinny's closing lines.

i think it can surely vary but I would say overall the API gets the info out. I mean reality is the closing line that we really want is the last available betting line.
