That was mighty effort to beat Florida under those circumstances. Overtime game, again.

Tonight the Colorado Avalanche get Darcy Kuemper back in nets, hope he is not being rushed into playing.

Flyers expected to start Martin Jones in net
LOL, I get Vigneault being fired, but Yeo is worse than him.

Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi, the NHL's only unvaccinated player, has been placed in COVID-19 protocol.
The Wings announced the news Wednesday, about half an hour before their game against the Seattle Kraken.

General manager Steve Yzerman announced before the season that Bertuzzi had decided not to get vaccinated for COVID-19. The NHL said there were four such players when the season began, and that three had since commenced the vaccination process.

NHL Buzz: Marner game-time decision for Maple Leafs against Wild

    Toronto Maple Leafs

Mitchell Marner and Morgan Rielly will each be a game-time decision for the Maple Leafs against the Minnesota Wild (7 p.m. ET; CBC, SNO, SNW, SNP, BSN, BSWI+, ESPN+, NHL LIVE).
Marner, a forward, left practice early Thursday after taking a hit from defenseman Jake Muzzin.
"We'll see how he is in the morning," Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said Friday. "It's not looking like anything serious at this point. He's going to travel and prepare to play."
Rielly, a defenseman did not practice Friday, after feeling discomfort blocking a shot recently.
Forward Ondrej Kase also could play after missing three games with an upper-body injury.
"Not just with Mitch, but with Morgan and Kase, we've got a number of guys that will be game time decisions tonight as we get through the day," Keefe said Saturday. -- Jessi Pierce

Leafs 15-2 run weekend back to back @ Wild Saturday, Jets Sunday.

Scoring by committee, spread out nicely. 4 players with 20 points or more.

Let's see if they're road dogs in either or both of these.

Faulk also on WuFlu list right before game time. Blues had to use emergency backup goalie for salary cap issues. Blues can’t even bring in backup goalie they want. I’m getting tired of hearing Covid and cap. Sports betting is forever changed.

Gallagher to miss five games for Canadiens after positive COVID-19 test

Forward, defenseman Niku must quarantine 10 days

Brendan Gallagher will miss at least five games for the Montreal Canadiens after testing positive for COVID-19.

The forward and defenseman Sami Niku were placed in NHL COVID-19 protocol Thursday and must quarantine for 10 days. Niku also tested positive, according to the Canadiens.
Neither played in a 4-1 home loss to the Colorado Avalanche. They will miss four additional games and could next be available to play Dec. 14 at the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Gallagher scored 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 23 games. Niku had three assists in nine games.
Forward Josh Anderson left the game in the second period because of an upper-body injury and is expected to be out 2-4 weeks.
Montreal recalled forward Laurent Dauphin from Laval of the American Hockey League after the game.

The Arizona Coyotes say they're staying put.
The team vehemently denied a Forbes report on Thursday citing an unnamed banking source that the Coyotes are up for sale "with the idea of [a] buyer eventually moving the team to a new arena in Houston."
Arizona quickly issued a statement in response.

    Five for biting.
That's the punishment the NHL has settled on for Brendan Lemieux, as the Los Angeles Kings forward was suspended five games for taking a chomp out of Brady Tkachuk's hand during a scrum last Saturday.
