#37Ever since that caviar eating loser bought the team and Thorne wanted no part of it the Nets have been a disaster - last year's playoff series win was the net gain of cashing in all their chips and now they don't have any left. Hope it was worth all those picks to get an overrated point guard and a bunch of over the hill stars for a year.Comment -

#40I think Kidd can actually do something good in Milwaukee. Brooklyn has a bunch of oldies and needs a veteran coach anyways. Kidd just had a turn around year in his first year coaching and he is getting the next Kobe Bryant, in Jabari.Comment -

#41Well it is true he had was going to do nothing with the next bunch of washed up players including D Williams
Maybe this is best for him to learn the game
Or alcohol behind closed doors he must be kicking himself
Only coach in recent memory that got himself fired back and actually wanted to stay there
He played poker and lostComment -

#42Don't know what everyone watched this past year.
He took a bag of shit team full of washed up has beens along with a worthless Deron Williams and at least made them play ball the right way and turn it around and even won a playoff series.
I thought he got them to overachieve really.
I was impressed and honestly shocked by Kidd's coaching.
The coach isn't an issue for that team.
That div was is and will be a toilet and he didnt even win the DivisionComment -

#47And the plot thickens!
Bucks are now saying they would only hire Kidd as COACH ONLY. Then again, there is also speculation that they are only saying that as a smokescreen so the Nets would accept just a second round pick. If it was apparent that he would become President of Operations, Nets could demand first round pick or several second round picks.Comment -

#49Actually agree. He couldn't have handled this any worse. Nets took a chance on him with one of the highest paid rosters in history. He comes back in the offseason with a power play trying to undercut another coach who hasn't been fired yet. The Nets call his bluff and ship his ass off to Milwaukee who have a rebuilding project and a building that's falling apart. His name is mud right nowComment -

#51The Russian gave Kidd the break of his life when he hired Kidd, nobody else wanted anypart of him.
Yes, I loved him when he ran the point for that Vinsanity Nets team that went back to back finals and all, but he's a) a fall down drunk b) difficult to work for and with c) still very raw when it comes to basketball day to day operations.
Then Kidd pulls this shit, by this shit I mean going behind the back of the man that gave him a chance and interview for another gig.
Even Kevin Ollie at UConn won't disprespect Calhoun and the university, he's committed to giving UConn 5 years.
I guess loyalty means nothingComment -

#53Not to mention the Bucks already had a coach in Larry Drew. Kidd should never have tried to get the Bucks job as long as they had a coach under contract. It's a shitty thing for Kidd to do, negotiating to be the head coach of a team that already had one. Kidd should have waited for Milwaukee to fire Drew, then when there's an opening, Kidd could have talked to them. I guarantee other coaches around the league just lost all respect for Kidd for shitting on Drew that way.Comment -

#61Lionel Hollins remains a strong candidate for the Nets' head-coaching vacancy.
This didnt take long and it makes sense. Hollins is a pro as a coach and he's done a great job in Memphis while not getting tons of headlines. If he does go to the Nets, chances are the team will slow down their tempo and run a bit of a shorter rotation.Comment -

Good luck with getting prime time exposure too, when was the last time NBA network, ESPN, TNT, or ABC tripped over themselves scheduling a Bucks game.
Parker will wind up being another in a long line of Duke NBA failures.
For every 1 Grant Hill's, there have been 10 Duke failures.
Kidd could have a rock star in NYC.Comment -
