The big three would all have to opt out of their contracts, then all re-sign with Miami at around 14 Mill per year. Meaning the big three would all have to take even bigger pay cuts than they did when they first teamed up, and Melo would have to take a massive cut in pay to sign with them. I'm not positive, but for Melo to sign with Miami, I believe he would be leaving about 40 Mill on the table, that's a lot of money to walk away from.

The reason why Howard took less money to play in Houston is because he didn't want to play with Kobe, one year of playing with Kobe was enough for him. A lot of Kobe's teammates don't like playing with him, but you'll never hear them say so publicly.

His legs looked dead out there, no lift at all to finish around the basket. He never added a reliable 3pt shot to his game that was needed.

if melo goes to the heat or lakers, he can help them win cause he will play second fiddle to the real stars.
