Hard to believe only 2 months away from the season starting, looking forward to some weekday afternoon games at a 90% empty stadium

The Bronson Arroyo search continues
Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the Dodgers are "very interested" in Bronson Arroyo but don't want to give him a third year.
Arroyo has been looking for a three-year deal or, at the very least, a vesting option for a third season. It's a reasonable request given his elite durability, but it's also likely what has kept him from catching on with someone to this point. If Arroyo would be willing to drop his demands to two years, he'd surely sign on quickly. The Diamondbacks, Angels, Orioles and Twins are also known to be interested in the veteran right-hander.

Yeah, he'll probably make the All-Star squad this year.
Players that leave Pittsburgh often have a way of resurrecting their careers...

If cubs could get one really good free agent pitcher signing, they might actually be somewhat competitive this year if all goes well.

It would take a whole lot more than one really good pitcher and it depends on what you mean by "competitive".

That explains it. I did not realize he wanted a 3 year deal.
He'll be 37 on Feb 24 and I can see teams taking a step back because of his age.

I have been posting about Bronson not finding work. What about Nelson Cruz or Stephen Drew? Those two guys haven't really had much news of interested teams. Just one pops up every once in a while.

Drew is likely overestimating his value. May as well wait and see who gets injured early before signing with any team.

in the last 10 years I can't think of too many players that resurrected their careers after leaving Pittsburgh
Bautista after 3-4 stops and Moss, am I missing any?
In the 90's it seemed alot of pitchers found success elsewhere. later there was Jason Schmidt and Aram but those are well over 10 years ago
if anything I'd say Pittsburgh "stars" in the last decade have gone on to suck when they leave
Bay, Nady, Mclouth, Kendall, Sanchez, Capps, Hanrahan, Mike Gonzalez, Oliver Perez, Duke, Ian Snell, Grabow, ect ect

In my roto leagues. Im going sp heavy early. Maybe even back to back. Not a fan of each year needing to drop and add sp or end up with a screwed up whip and era

There really aren't many teams that even looking for a SS. He doesn't have a market right now.

I hate the constant add/drop pitcher style late in the year. I have a H2H and Roto and it happens with both leagues. Starts off normal, but final two months it's add/drop crazy.

The Dodgers didn't even receive Honorable Mention.
Those teams were:
New York Yankees
Orioles
Braves
Mariners
Diamondbacks
Rockies

I'll second that!!!
It always seems I lose a above-good, very-good pitcher to injuries. Or a projected one has a bad year.

Braves Freeman gets paid.
Freddie signed an extension for 8 years at $135 million. Biggest contract in Braves history.
The Braves also resigned OF Jason Heyward to a $13.3 million, two-year contract.
Also the Braves announced they are building a new stadium in 2017 in suburban Cobb County
PS Note: I will never-ever draft Heyward on my fantasy team again.

I liked the Justin Upton move, but couldn't understand picking up BJ Upton. I just have never seen the potential with him. That was such an ugly season too.

It will be tough for BJ to be any worse in 2014-15 on the bright side.

I can see the argument that the Dodgers may have a Top 10 batting order.
I also believe that LA has the best starting rotation in baseball.
That should make up for their "lack" of hitting!

ESPN Finally Opened Up Fantasy Baseball on 2/6.
Rodney finally signs 2 years/$14Mil with Seattle. Nobody closing in Baltimore?
