If you look at the 6 wins Army had this year 5 of them had been on probably the worst teams of their conferences. They barely beat Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois put 70 points on them. EM won 2 games. NT won 3 games. Tulane won 4 games. VM won 3 games. Duke won 3 games. KSU won 5 games.Comment -
I love the under....as Army will have a few 7 minute drives. The last 6 SMU games have gone well under 51.5 points. SMU's run and shoot is more like trot and dribble to me.Comment -
I'm liking Army, can't talk myself out of it. Padron is a turnover waiting to happen if Army pressures him like UCF did, mistakes happen. The turnover battle will win or lose this game. Army has a great takeaway record with 27 takeaways and 14 giveaways. SMU is in the bottom tier of FBS with 15 takeaways and 24 giveaways. Also, SMU has faced a triple option each of the past two seasons in Navy .. Middies won both match-ups and that included a rally from down 14-0 at the half this year. SMU had troubles with the outside pitches and runs and that is where Army has to win the battle. For everyone clamoring that Army can't keep up with the Run 'n Shoot, go back to Army vs. Hawaii. Army lost by 3 ... and came back from 21-0 to take a 28-21 lead. Home field advantage here is OVER RATED. 10,000 tickets to each school and then there are going to be a lot of military in with the extra tickets given out by sponsors that may or may not be rooting for Army ... living near this area, SMU fans are not a rabid, game changing crowd.Comment -
