#5Can't view it that way. Each game is independent of the previous/next.
Roulette is a great example.
You can play the 'odds' on red or black not rolling 'x' times in a row. Good system in theory, but not logical. The wheel has no knowledge or care of what it rolled the previous turn. (I've personally witnessed a roulette wheel hit the same color 10 times in a row and wipe some poor guy out).Comment -

#10you could land on heads 10/10 times, but a favorite isn't going to cover 10/10 times. Sure statistics say its possible, but do you really think linesmakers would allow a favorite to cover that many nights in a row? hell no.Comment -

#11each game needs to be looked at independantly..if a team seems strong against a spread then it doesnt matter to me if its a favorite or not.Comment -

#12I'm sure you're right. The "linesmakers" will be out on the field tomorrow night tackling Cincinatti and blocking for Louisville. It's going to be a crowded field, but there's no way the linesmakers will allow Cincy to cover. They'll be the dudes running around with tape on their glasses and pocket protectors, in short sleeve dress shirts with ties.Comment -

#13its actually the same odds as the very first flip. And every subsequent flip. Doesn't matter if you have 100 tails or heads in a row. Odds for the next flip is 50/50. Simple statistics. And just because three favs won in a row has zero bearing on the next game statistically.Comment -
