UNC vs. Pitt

I like Pitt here (-1). Pitt is the better team...almost earning a bcs bid. Offense is well-balanced and and rates high in efficiency categories. I believe there is a huge mismatch in offensive production in this game. This big edge does not match the pointspread. Otherwise, I think N.C. is the team who had a disappointing year...hence, playin in the same local bowl as last year. N.C is the team who had higher expectations coming into the season and was inconsistent most of the year.

Take UNC Moneyline. Went from 3 pts to 1.5 and even 0 on some books with only 38% of the public betting on UNC. That's one hell of a reverse line movement.

I love Pitt (-1)...what a bargain basement price. Pitt has the more balanced offensive attack and rates high in efficiency categories. Hell, they almost earned a bcs bid. N.C., on the other hand has been very inconsistent on offense. It is N.C. that had high hopes this year and underachieved, playing in the same local bowl as last year. All this does is create value as there is a nice mismatch in Pitt's offensive production numbers and the pointspread.

an old sports betting bird once told me... "in any game if a team is only -1... bet on the opponent".. and everytime i take better teams with -1 spreads... i lose...so i think im throwing a small amount on unc 1st half... and see what happens at half time to bet 2nd half again
