When will people learn that betting on the public side in a rivalry game with a lopsided spread = fail

We ARE the public, and our stupidity shows every week, especially this week with rivalry games, e.g. pitt, clemson, UNC, OSU, Miss, Mizzou, Arizona, FSU, and GT. ALL pounded by the public, ALL rivalry, ALL lost ATS.

any and all UGA followers havent seen a game like this since maybe the LSU game in 2005.

as a fan for a long, long time I didint see it coming either but will take it and be happy.
only bad thing about it is it probally saved have the coaching staff

Sorry about that guys! I'm new to this forum. I said back on pg.1 that the bet would be on UGA for several reasons. Nobody asked the reasons. Not trying to be a smartass guys. I kinda do this for a living & I'm in the heart of SEC/ACC country. I can smell these kind of games! 2 ranked ACC teams getting ready to play for the conf. championship playing 2 unranked in state rival SEC teams. Who's the stronger conference? I'm an SEC man & I tolerate the ACC. I hope this shuts them up for a while!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend of rivalry games in spite of this one. I went 15-6 Fri&Sat & I'm tickled shitless. By far the best weekend so far this season. For me it seems that rivalry week & the bowls & playoffs I triple my bankroll every year. DOGS!!!! I think the only fav I took today was TN-3 & that was a friggin nailbiter!

I hope that all of you people who thought that this game was a "lock" enjoyed sleeping standling up last night, because it will be a long time before you can sit down. Then we have the people who claimed to have saved themselves with 2nd half wagers. All the major know-it-alls in here got what they deserved. Their asses kicked. The more knowledgeable people in here tried to warn you guys off of this game, but you and your macho arrogance would have no part of it. Please do not try to sell anyone on how well you did this year, because we all know that you guys are not going to make up for the tail kicking you got last night. By the way, horses sleep standing up too.

At least I do not lie about my wagers. Look at my record for the entire year. I have won more money than you ever will. How much did you lose yesterday? its on the spreadsheet bigtimer. lost 2.5 units on the game, won 6 units on the 2nd half team total over. finished the day up around 2 units. and no, I dont claim to be a bigtimer like you. this is just what I do with my play money to pass the time.
dont recall myself calling this game a lock either, maybe you can find it somewhere? I did I have a strong opinion that UGA would shit the bed but they proved me wrong by playing 1 of the best games in about 4 yrs. oops made the wrong call, oh well on to the next one.

If you bothered to read this entire thread, you would see that I warned people way in advance. As far as gaming is concerned, even you will have to admit that I have forgotten more about gaming than you have ever known. I am a rich ecentric. I enjoy seeing people play Mr. Macho, and then getting blown off. I love to see all of the know-it-alls boasting about how easy a game will be, only to see them get their tails kicked. That teaches humility. You have never seen me call any game a lock. You have never seen me act like a wanna-be tout. That is strictly for the amateurs in here, and there are many. You can take a lesson from this. I can buy you and sell you 100 times over. If you want to play Mr. Macho, you had better hope that no one that can take you down with a snap of his finger is reading your boasts.

No beef with either one of you guys, but this is a gambling forum, not a scene from the Godfather. Most guys here bet 25-100 bucks a game. That's just the way it is. People who really bet thousands and tens of thousands do not have time for this, nor do they care. I myself bet between 100 and 500 a game. And usually it is 100 to 300. That's it. I took a beating this week like many on the board, I don't believe in locks, I do believe in runs (good and bad), and I believe that the more you put into this (generally) the more you will get out of it. I really f'd myself by getting off my money management in CFB this week. Trying to get it back today in the NFL, and so far I am 4-2. These kinds of arguments really never prove much, except who has more time to dedicate to berating another individual. I know, I have been involved in too many of them.

I gave my opinion on the game in various threads and was wrong. Fact of the matter is I'd make the same wager again cause 8 out of 10 games GT covers 7 with the way UGA has been playing this season.

That's my betting range also. Funny thing is that all 4 of my $500 bets lost this week.
