#247South Carolina is covering for now. That makes Pags 3-4 on the day, a loss of a whopping unit! Were only in week two guys, if you tailed pags your down a whopping 1.75 units. BIG DEAL! And if you haven't practiced money management, well that's your problem.
Don't sweat it Pags, and ignore the haters, because I know that come December well be up units bigtime.Comment -

#250The gamecocks covered. So 3-4 today. not 2-5 like some of you have said. Like I said in my last post a small loss, big deal. If you are broke after week 2, then your money management stinks and the problem is you, not pags.
Next week will be the break out week Pags.Comment -

Tough go for me as well thru 2 weeks. We certainly know a lot more about certain teams as we head into week 3. BOL to all who play NFL action tomorrow. Looking forward to capping games for next weekend.Comment -

#256Pags, personally I don't tail your plays. I do however come read your post because I find them very informative. I read your post because I understand the TIME and EFFORT that goes into doing this. I understand that no matter how much research is done or how many numbers are crunched in the end the games are still played and we have no control on the outcome. We have a calculated assumption but absolutely no guarantee.
It is obvious you put more work into your plays than most (mot all, there are others that put in countless hours) and you always caution those about it taking time for teams to really start to be more predictable. The information you provide is of value and this forum is a better place for having you.
Unfortunately there are those that chose to not do their own work. There are those who chose to not understand what dedication it takes to truly do this and to stick to it even when not everything goes as planned. There are those who chose to blame rather than appreciate.
Those of us that do understand and do appreciate are greatfull for your time and effort. For those that don't............well it's obvious that the lack of character they poccess will prevent them from ever understanding or appreciating.Comment -

nobody held a gun to your head and said you have to play his games.as far as your question ,what makes you think its going to get any better, well it obvious you don't know pags at all,i do for one and a lot others on here know him also and i know that he is a damn good capper, its a whole season that makes the final tally plus or minus,so if you need a profit week by week then i suggest you look elsewhere, winning at gambling on sports dosen't happen short term, its a season process and patience is the key......
not a bad week at all pags...thanks for all your time and hard work buddyComment -

#260pags' work is one of the TOOLS to use
PAGS' work is very helpful. I check other cappers too and compare and contrast their opinions. I think twice before taking the other side of one of his plays (for instance, when I took Navy over LA Tech); and feel more confident if I am on his play (eg., Fresno State +9).
Please keep up the good work!Comment -

thank you...hope you had a profitable day today...
flaghunter,
frustrated I didn't do better this week, but thanks for your feedback...hope you have a safe trip home...

kc,
thanks, too bad it didn't turn out to be a profitable day...hope you did well today...
cgars1,
thanks for all of your feedback sir...hope you had a profitable day...
mjt1212,
unfortunately ECU wore down in the fourth quarter...
gordon,
I've spent 25 years trying to iron out my system and most Saturday's my system calls for me to play 7 games...in years past I played less games at higher amounts and more games at less amounts, but this is just kind of what I settled on...
tobycsh,

The more info you have on teams, the more info you have for capping games.Just like data in a computer. There were only 14 games so far, hardly enough games to base a whole season on.Only down a unit or two,I see allot of upside potential.Be patient, practice good money management skills and you'll be fine.Comment -

#268For anybody with any sense. Capping games is very hard. There is only a fraction of a difference between a high roller and a loser. Pags, you are still one of the best. I have been doing this for over 10 years and I am off to my best start ever. 10 years!!!!! Remember, the point spread makes losers of half of us. Only a faithful few can overcome that. So stay off of Pags picks, he is playing with the same number the rest of us are. Don't be affraid to fade Pags. If some of you had, you would be 9-6!!!!!!!! Do your own work, since it is your money. If someone really had the capping mojo, they would not share it with the public, they would go to Vegas and own it. That is just human nature, to be selfish and get as much as you can without sharing. So quit bitching in Pags thread about his outcomes. And start posting your plays BEFORE the games start and your units. Then Pags will have less people to answer to, and if you are better than Pags, people will tail you.Comment -

#269Keep up the good work, pags. Two weeks into the season means very little, and your exceptional handicapping skills will prevail over the course of the long season. Having a slight losing record through 2 weeks is probably good for some people so they can appreciate money management, which can be as important that good handicapping, as you know.Comment -

#276The reason people are bashing pags, right or wrong, is that he has a huge following but two losing weeks to his credit. He gets a lot of unconditional love, so people new to the forum ask who is a good capper and everyone says pags; then they if they follow his picks, then they are disappointed. Pags will rebound. But perhaps those lining up to give him hand jobs every week will ease off a little instead of following his picks blindly until he gets in his groove (which he usually does).Comment -

#277The man writes well thought out , reasoned and researched opinions with NO PROMISES...what gives anyone the right to post negative comments in his thread? He's not a tout taking money w/ exagerated claims and lies, if you really feel the need to attack someone like Pags you need to get yourself some professional help.Comment -

#278Not a bad start Pags, learning the teams, it'll come as you know. I am awful at CFB, my worst sport. I take a few totals thats all. Personally i tail your plays, your one of the best CFB cappers I can find, I'm down so far in two weeks and I am not worried or pissed or anything. I find the important thing with betting sports or stocks for that matter, is that process is more important than outcome and you need solid MM. By following your plays, imo, the plays are solid, as solid as I believe I can get in CFB, the outcome is secondary to the process. If I lose this CFB season, I wont be pissed, because I believe over time I will. For all those that tell me to figure it out for myself and dont tail, not everyone has a ton of time to cap. I cap other things and have not yet figured out CFB so I choose to tail. But I will never bitch if I lose.Comment -

#279Dan,
appreciate it man...
Joe Dogs,
thanks for seeing it that way, as it's the same way I see things...
snapstick,
if you had a documented record and reputation for producing winning seasons (for free) as I have done then you would have as many viewers as I do...GL handicapping the games yourself...
seaborneq,
well said...I agree with you that handicapping games is very hard, it's part of why I love doing it...I like the challenge and along with that comes not having success sometimes...that is all part of the journey...heck I want to win every week but I've been doing this long enough to know that isn't going to happen...thanks again for your thoughts...
Club,
thank you sir...
PacmanJr_00,
thank you...
obamaismyuncle,
good, then stay the **** out of my thread...what are your expectations dude? do you think I like losing? I hate to lose, but I'm not trying to give everyone shitty picks...it's part of gambling...bottom line is I want to have winning picks more than anyone here, look at how much time I put into all of this...
it sounds to me like you aren't cut out to be a gambler...either toughen up and show some respect or zip it up...I don't need the negativity in my thread...
Dana4U,
thank you very much...it does make me feel good not only when a game covers, but also when a game goes almost exactly as I thought it would...just am hoping we have more of those type of games in future weeks...
