The Howard Bison, a traditionally terrible 1-AA team, in one of the weakest 1-AA conferences, just beat UNLV in Las Vegas as probably the biggest underdog to win with an offered price that I can remember. A 45 point underdog and a staggering +55000 ML, the Bison beat the Rebels 43-40. When I saw the scoreline in the 4rth quarter, I was lucky enough to find a great stream at themw.com and got to watch the last 6 minutes.
I recall Texas State beating Houston (beating them badly in fact) a few years ago as a huge dog, and of course, everyone remembers Stanford beating #1 ranked USC ten years ago as a 41 point underdog, but this is the biggest priced underdog winning in college football that I can recall.
Congrats to the Bison.
According to the sbrodds data, Howard had been 600-1, so while that ML may have moved with the spread change, I would like to think that somewhere, somebody put a $25 flyer on the Bison at 600-1.
