Give Me Some MMA CONTEST Ideas....

I used to run contest for every event with a decent response until we started charging 5pts to get in, then, the last time I made it, I got like 10 entries or so, I figured you guys had lost interest, now I can put up a nice point prize for MMA contests, so feel free to PM me a contest structure and we work it out, I would be glad to do them again if you guys want them back.

And yes the grading was a bitch but I had set up a nice spreadsheet with formulas and all to calculate winners.

If Vaughany is ok with us using his format, I can make it so you only have to pay a 5pt fee and I will be giving a 1000 FP pts prize, I would be using a Picks' contest to charge for entries to eliminate the non-pro limitation to transfer points.

A few sidenotes from me:

1.Do you guys want to include only UFC events or maybe we could make a monthly contest including all events on the major associations (SF, Bellator, Dream, UFC, etc)?

2.If you guys don't like freeplays as prizes, I am ok with you guys running a side pot in which I don't put up any prize points, though the same picks and grading can be used.

3.Is it a good date to post event lines as soon as the full card is available to bet on 5Dimes, or should we post the starting line for every fight?

I like the concept a lot and hope we can get to a quorum here, I miss the UFC contests.

Well, with 151 being cancelled we have some time before the next event. Doing the contests for PPV events for sure will draw enough interest. And having it on the contest page will easily eliminate non pro issues. I had no problem with the 5pts. In fact I would probably be willing to do much more.
