I can't see how they don't do GSP/Shieldson this card with that fight off. If they expect to sell out the Rogers Center they need GSP.

ya that makes sense. They said this was going to be the biggest ufc ever, they have to GSP now. Hell he was already probably expected, dana has to really step it up now.

MMAJunkie and the like had reported that (unofficially) it was to be a double main event consisting of Cain/JDS and GSP/Shields. Dos Santos has said he won't wait the eight months without a fight, so I could see them bumping up the GSP fight to sole main event status and having JDS co-headline against someone like Mir or possibly Brock. They'll still find a way to make this card a big deal.

that definitely makes sense, lets hope JDS is still on the card. I also just read this in an article so Aldo could be in the mix if they are really trying to make this the biggest event ever.
Meanwhile, Aldo's layoff may be shorter than expected.
"I think we already have a fight for Aldo," White said.
Can't wait for it. Can't wait to put all my money on Machida!

I hope they add a second title fight to this card. Edgar/Maynard III maybe?

I'm guessing I'll have some sort of GSP/Machida parlay.

GSP way laying -500 vs Kos, after that Shields/Kampamnn fight he might be laying -600 and up. the best you might get on a GSP/Machida parlay will be like -250
Reports of Wilks vs Macdonald and Makdessi vs Brookins.
Will be Wilks final swansong IMO!

Rory MacDonald looked great against Condit in the 1st 2 rounds. He should make short work of Wilks

Main card:
I am very interested in the matchups.
Pre-lims:
For the first time in a LONG time, I couldn't care less about any of those matchups.

Yeah they dont leap out at you but Pierson vs Foster should be awesome and some 'black on black crime' with Patrick vs Roberts (could be a great grappling match)! Betting wise I like Jensen to beat Macdonald and Mendjivar to beat Valencia and will take him at decent odds.

Yea this main card is looking great. Dana said they are looking to do 40K seats at Rogers Center. The Koscheck trash talk got UFc 124 up to 875K PPV buys. I wonder if this one will do more being billed as the biggest UFC card (gatewise)

I had higher hopes for this event when they said it would be the biggest ever. It seems after the velasquez injury they just chalked it up to GSP and couture/machida selling the tickets because 130 looks noticeable better to me. I dont see why edgar/maynard is not on this card if they were trying to make it the biggest ever.

Hey, if you check at wikipedia, <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_130> apparently Edgar is medically suspended until July 1, so he might not even be able to fight at ufc 130.

He can fight earlier if medically cleared.

Yeah, this card is a slight letdown, if only because of the all the hype before the fight announcements. 130 is super stacked though, so it's hard to complain. The Phil Davis/Matt Hamill fight could be very interesting.
