#37JIBBBY---Maynard will bring it this fight-I feel he will win this one...Yakolev--Alexander Yakovlev (Russian: Александр Яковлев, born July 18, 1984), also known as Sultan Tikhaev, is a Russian mixed martial artist and rapper. Yakovlev is recognized as an aggressive welterweight competitor who competed in the M-1 Global, ProFC, Shooto Russia, and Bodog Fight promotions. Yakovlev’s martial arts background included training in Sambo and Freestyle Wrestling prior to turning his attention to professional fighting at the age of nineteen.I'd actually be shocked if Maynard gets the win to be honest Paper.. I think it's almost a lock that Maynard gets dropped in this fight and is then sent packing into retirement...
Koscheck vs Maynard in Bellator in a future match up maybe???.. LOL..
Patiently waiting for the Yakovlev wins by KO PROP to come out myself.....Comment -

#41^^^Not a half bad Russian rapper if you ask me.. Got KGB??? Good find Miri..
Besides his rapping skills he also stood with Daley and got the better of him on the ground as well.. Damian Maia couldn't sub him either..
If Maynard by miracle does beat this guy it's probably gonna be by 3 round decision victory via the lay and pray.. Don't see that happening though... Bet the distance win for better value PAPERTRAIL if you must.....Last edited by JIBBBY; 03-26-15, 09:30 PM.Comment -

#45I'm liking this under rounds bet at -125 with Poirier/Ferreira. I believe there is some value in this play.
I highly doubt this fight makes it out of the 2nd round as both these guys get after it.. We haven't seen Dustin get to the 3rd round in his last 3 fights.. He either gets rocked or dropped in recent fights or does the KO'ing himself. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Dustin-Poirier-50529 ..
Flip side Carlos Ferreira has finished 2 of his last 3 fights as well stopping Colton Smith and Nijem.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Carlo...Ferreira-26358
I think this might be the safest bet for value in this bout IMO..

Copy and Paste (Miri)
LightweightRobin van Roosmalen (c) vs.
Andy Ristie For the Lightweight Championship
FeatherweightGabriel Varga vs.
Mosab Amrani For the Featherweight Championship
MiddleweightJason Wilnis vs.
Alex Pereira Middleweight Contender Tournament Semi Final
MiddleweightWayne Barrett vs.
Simon Marcus
Thoughts: Ristie should be the favorite vs Roosmalen. He ko'ed him last time, and Roosmalen looks like a dwarf in comparison. However, one of Risties advantages is that he's very unorthodox thus hard to acclimate to in a fight. Roosmalen has fought him before, thus will be wise to his tricks. He likes to come in with hooks straight off same side kicks and knees, that comes from unexpected angles with a lot of power. This seemed to fluster Roosmalen in the first fight. When Ristie was staying on the outside, he was having a lot of succes too with teeps and jabs. But it's obvious that isn't how he likes to fight, and not his strength as a fighter. When he started to come in with big knees, Roosmalen countered him every time, and even rocked him at one point. I don't think Ristie can keep him self from doing this.
Although that's where he's dangerous as well, and has to watch out for getting his boxing countered by one of Risties devastating hooks.
He's also shown weakness when the fights go deep, where Roosmalen only gets stronger. - Interesting fight.
Watching some tape on the other fighters as well.Last edited by JIBBBY; 03-30-15, 10:05 PM.Comment -

#54Gaining respect for the mod picks on Odds beast.. His prop picks while I only agree strongly with one are all with in reason.....
I think Maynard gets lit up standing as he is the "Bully" and will probably keep it standing rather then go to wrasling much like Kos does early on.. Russian may just tax that suspect chin at some point. At +300 it's worth the try me tinks...
Copy and paste -
Yakovlev KO +300
Pena rd 1 +400
Poirier dec +255
I'm getting a change of heart with Poirer as I don't trust his chin... After reading and watching his last 3 fights dude gets rocked alot standing.. I already placed on Dustin thinking to get a jump on the odds so I'm stuck, oh well...Last edited by JIBBBY; 03-31-15, 09:18 PM.Comment -

#59Maybe it's my imagination but the older the MMA fighters get the more likely they are to keep it standing especially if they have knocked out people in the past... They think of the fight bonus's and paydays rather then going to their strengths..
For example - Maynard will stand and bang like Kos and we will see what happens IMO.. Unless if he or his handlers are reading in...
No one wants to take the trouble and seem desperate for the take downs if getting a bit shown up in the stand up game these days and especially if you are an older fighter and under the public spot light... Take note of this fellas when gambling....
The older you get the less likely you want too grind out those victories on the ground if you have the hands and can trow dem and have had KO victories in the past..... Older you get the more pride you get in the fighting game... You will take chances to end the fight quickly. That's where the prop money comes into play if you can weed them out accordingly...

#62SBR? I believe we keep playing Raging Al Iaquinta till he loses... But that's just me. Coming off 3 straight KOs ufc building him up, I don't think Gambred could be finished as we all know he's tough as nails. I like Al, I see a stand up battle. Al's grappling will keep it standing and we will see where it goes from there. Al Iaquinta +115.Comment -

#69Sha....they are lotto tickets...simply for fun...I agree with you in PENA however I have stopped betting woments fights until I have more time to research....took a loss last card betting Esparaza and it just showed how off I really was....essentially bet without knowing anything and the LOSS reminded me how dumb I was for betting that...ugh, yea..I need to start doing this..I still find myself struggling though..
