Having said that, i question the intelligence of anyone who buys a book by Mr UFC Fit expecting to find real scientific knowledge or insight. Did they never see his infomercial, could easly be a parody of the ones on late night TV?

I actually will miss his personality on UFC TONIGHT, he had a good thing going with everyone on the panel including Kenny.. He was the main engine to that show.. I'll miss the bastard...

Sure he'll sign with another organization as an analyst or host.. He won't be out of job for long in other words.. He's retired from fighting and should be able to juice away if he so chooses I think..

Sidestepping the whole "kids imitating professional fighters" issue entirely, it's really not that difficult a move on a technical level. It was just cool to see it used in an an actual fight to such great effect.

I like Chael as well guys, but come on. If MMA is going to be a legitimate sport it can't let that slide. You don't see Lance Armstrong with corporate spornsors or analyst jobs.

I know a guy who trained with Team Quest, and has trained at numerous other big gyms, including Black House, and he told me that he believes that everyone he's ever trained with except for Lyoto Machida is on PED's, knowing this for a fact in many cases.

We're going to see a lot more people busted if they continue to test effectively for HGH.

Offcourse, but theres a difference between passively and quitely accepting reality (which i believe the UFC has been good at doing) and openly and publicly accepting it. Once the PED culture is entrenched its almost impossible to clean out. Just like track and field, which i don't think will ever be clean and that has much more stringent testing.

The other big problem a lack of non-fanboy MMA journalists willing to go out, find the right people and hold their feet to the fire. I hate how they just skirt the issues with weak half hearted questions when its so obvious whats going on for anyone who can read between the lines. The ambivalnce and willingness to accept Chael's previous spin job (which admittedly impressive) was the perfect example. "Ah health and fertility, that'll fly. Onto the next issue". I get that they would probably destory their career prospects by doing it but its still weak. Hopefully when the sport becomes mainstream enough some real jounalists will get involved.

From a gambling perspective, i would prefer if everything was legal, that way I wouldn't have to worry about being on the wrong side of information asymetry.

we are going to see more of it, but i think the testing is really expensive, no? so i doubt it will be happening to undercard fighters

I read a quote from Dave Meltzer that stated that it would cost $60mil per year to test every fighter on their roster (though, this is before group discounts and the like, and this figure would almost certainly be lower as a result).

Realistically, we'll probably never see drug testing on this scale applied to the entire roster.

You would think at some stage the UFC would get an interest in minimizing their expose to it. They've just lost one of their biggest starts, and Vitor and Wand for a decent period. Pretty rough spot when they're already running dangerously low on fighters with any sembelence of drawing power.
