just rewatched the fight on root tv-- diaz easily takes 1&2, in 3 condit gets more active but the more powerful,cleaner shots still go to diaz, condit takes 4 pretty convincing IMO, in rd 5 diaz is the only one out of the two that threatens to end the fight by taking condits back--therefore i give diaz 5 also. another thing i didn't notice the first time (drinking) was that starting in rd 2 rogan is all over anything condit does and ignores diaz shots. condit was flashy but i thought diaz was way more effective w/ the exception of rd 4--probably a top 100 robbery. other notable mentions IMO: penn/gsp 1(top 150), penn/edgar 1(top 150), bisping/hamill(top 5) number 1 of all time.........drum roll.......that korean guy that "beat" roy jones jr in the olympics

from a boxing perspective diaz wins and it's not close. from a 50 missed spinning back fist, leg kicking from 10 ft away mixed with the occasional effective shot perspective i guess it's close. stat people can say what they want because i suppose a glancing spinning leg kick counts the same on the stat sheet as a vicious body shot. this was the same type of fight imo to penn edgar 1 where franky would buzz around throwing glancing flurries that looked good but did little actual damage, then bj would throw a punch and it would knock edgar back 2 feet and edgar would start the whole circling thing again. flash doesn't equal effective but I guess when rogans telling you how good condit is doing and most on here know nothing about fighting condit winning is accepted--btw i like both condit and diaz and did not bet on the fight so i don't have any obvious bias

Ergo, diaz won all three rounds, having landed more significant strikes in every round.

I really like how you give your opinion on how many "actual" significant strikes were landed like it means more than a fart in the wind. Fightmetric shows 90 significant strikes for Condit in the first 3 rounds. Somehow you're impeccable logic dropped that to 0 because you love Diaz and hated the way Condit approached the fight.

It's fine to not like what Condit did, but to plain make up shit to help your case is the problem with the Diaz cult nowadays. Same with Stefan up there who said "weak leg kicks are nothing compared to vicious body shots" as if every shot Diaz landed to the body was vicious and every leg kick Condit landed was weak. Clearly he knows cause he was on the receiving end of both, right? Anyone see any pictures of Diaz' leg(s) the day after the fight? He can claim they were baby all he wants during and shortly after the fight, but when his leg(s) are black and blue and swollen the next day...

Besides, go back and watch the fight again. In particular, pay attention to their respective faces after the fight was over. Condit looks immaculate outside of a small goose egg under his right eye. Diaz looked like he was hit with a fire extinguisher. What are we still debating here?

We say how bad the judging is in MMA....yet when this happens you use Cecil Peoples as a good indicator? Why? Everyone on sites and forums think old fighters should do more judging.

I'm not saying Diaz was robbed. I'm just saying it was a tough fight to call. If you score a bunch of points for leg taps then you would say Condit won. If you don't then you would say Diaz won.

Shogun drilled Machida with REAL kicks for 5 rounds and wasn't given the decision.

Condit had a couple minutes of 1 round where he was really throwing. When he landed that combo ending with the head kick. Diaz walked through it with ease, but those were actually meaningful shots.

Point is, it was hard to judge. If you score pt fighting you gave it to Condit. It worked for Condit, so what do you know a little later Guida (a greg jackson fighter) tries to do the same to Maynard. Because he knew he couldn't out-strike him or out-wrestle him. Fighters gave it to Diaz. Judges gave it to Condit. It was basically 50/50 in terms of general population it seems. The Diaz haters are just as bad as Diaz nut-huggers.

Thats exactly my point, fighters are way more biased toward who won the fight. The "pointdexters" generally have the fight scored correct according to the rules, not based on Condit fighting like a "homo"
