#107Make it Superbowl weekend. Where are your fav rooms in Vegas? I was told it's easy money over at Flamingo. I've only ever won big at Mirage. Have lost at Planet Hollywood. Haven't spent much time at the tables in Vegas, usually stick to sportsbook and slots.Comment -

#108MD is pretty much right on here.
I always think of Asimov's Foundation trilogy as a good thought experiment for it.
Baseball is beaten by a calculator only. It is the most solved sport due to the number of games and availability of statistics. That is why matchbook can have baseball prices of Team A +102, Team B -103. The information is that good.
It's rare for two fighters to ever fight twice, and the number of total fights in their career is almost meaningless from a statistical standpoint. Since so many fighters fight so differently than each other, data like Fighter A does poorly against left-handed strikers doesn't mean as much as how a pitcher does against left handed hitters.
Baseball is the hardest sport to beat. MMA is definitely one of the easier ones.Comment -

#109That play is gonna hit!
Final Scores will be: 49-46 Henderson, 48-47 Diaz, 48-47 Henderson - I Fukkin Guarantee you this!!!
Diaz wins by point spread 144.5-144
I'll throw it into a parlay or 2 @ -130 odds, adds value anywhere...
goodluck!

Most of the rooms you mention only run holdem and smaller limits. I am a non-holdem specialist. Usually play at Bellagio (although I hate it there), Caesars, Aria, or the Rio during the WSOP.
Last year I was grinding these heads up holdem machines they have everywhere. Beat them for a decent hourly rate, but not a large enough sample to convince myself I was actually winning versus them. The fact that they are mostly unmanned indicates they are probably not beatable by very much, but I did enjoy the challenge.Comment -

#113I will be in Costa Rica during the superbowl. If you want to meet me at the casino in San Jose, I'll be there.

You should try the Sterling Brunch at Bally's. It's $90 +tax a person, and totally worth it. Sundays only, 9am-2pm. They have great caviar, sushi, lobster tails, etc. Best part is the tasty, chilled bottomless champagne. Def the best buffet I have ever been to, and will be part of my future Vegas trips.Comment -

I've eaten there a couple times. It's pretty good, but at this point I'd take the Cosmopolitan buffet over it. Bone marrow FTW.Comment -

#121dude, honestly, i hardly remember the places i ate at on that little trip (too much partying i think). i feel like i ate mostly in mandalay, but didnt do any buffets. i do remember getting a pound from rashad evans while i was eating in some regular burger+fries joint. lol.
man, that was the best trip ever. some great memories of interacting with fighters and some random interaction with a pittsburg steeler (cant think of his name right now, but he was a semi-famous defensive player). also was given a half full bottle of patron from dominic monaghan (from lost) at 6am one day. haha.
the absolute best story from that trip, was the time i went to use the bathroom and fockin clay guida is getting head from two fat chicks! i turn to walk out and he tells me its okay to come back in. hahaha. got a picture with him afterwards.Comment -

Reminds me of Randy Couture always looking like a good guy in front of the camera, but off camera he's a prick. That's what I heard from the Security guy's from the gated community he lives in.
Mayweather also lives in the same community as Randy, and we've all seen the news reports of those altercations involving Mayweather.Comment -

#129YTD 2-1 +$1,162.50
Gonna play this now and prolly again closer to Saturday.
I'm playing Diaz +3.5 points on the cards...I think we all can say that Bendo prolly isn't gonna finish Diaz...I think if this goes to the cards it's cause it's a closely fought affair with both guys having their moments...at this time I think Bendo is gonna win a controversial decision that most see going Diaz way....so as of now I'm taking the points....in a few days I may decide I also want a bet on Diaz straight...but we shall see.

#131Like the play JC. Swick didn't look himself the fight against Marques Johnson and rightfully so. Guys been through a lot. Took him til the second round in that fight to get going and he won convincingly. Matt Brown is a fighter who will pressure hard and won't let up. I wouldn't be shocked if Swick somehow won but Brown is the play. Especially in a fight that should be a pk.Comment -

#135i was thinking about betting swick earlier today, re watched the fight against damarques. I dont know about you guys, but i think swick lost that first round. Am i betting on a guy that actually lost to focking damarques? Brown +140 yes please. Against mediocre fighters, brown is the man. He goes to war for the full three rounds and he is also pretty tuf to finish.Comment -

#136Basically I see it like this....perhaps I'm too cynical but I think Swicks hand speed is gone...it used to be one of his biggest assets but it has faded...you could see it in the Hardy fight and all the time off has pretty much ended it you could see him slow to the punch against Johnson...so I don't think Brown is going to have any kind of problem getting in on him and making it the ugly brawl he wants...as long as brown sticks to clinch/trip takedowns this fight should be all his...my biggest fear and Swicks best outlet to win is Brown shooting a lazy double and getting caught in a tight guillotineComment -
