MFC 35 and Cage Warriors 49
Anybody bother capping any of these fights?

So far I've got a big play on Elvis Mutapcic over Joe Henle at +115 and am probably gonna have a decent-sized play on Shane Nelson... As for Cage Warriors, nada...

Nah nothing jumps out. Henle Mutapcic does kind of seem a pick-em fight so probably is best to play Elvis if you do play at all. Henle's wrestling might be the difference tho

I bet there is a lot of value in the fights with the unknowns, I just haven't had time to cap. Was hoping you, Jesus, or someone else did...

pretty sure shane nelson shouldn't be a -200 favorite over anyone.

Yep, no way I'd play him at -200 against Spencer. Spencer has started training full time at Alpha Male and is supposedly the best 145 to come out of Canada.

Shane might be slightly over-valued, but he's got the experience and is the bigger fighter. It's his first fight at 145, he went the distance against Matt Wiman, and has done well against other tough 155ers. Dude's got a win over George Roop. That's something. Experience + MMA IQ + Hawaiian chin + Size advantage = Shane Nelson wins, possibly a 30-27... I went 5-0 in Tennis this morning, so I think I'll go bigger on Shaney boy than I had originally planned. Also added a bit more on Elvis.

Shane knows Graham is an up and coming star at 145 and wants to put him away as his first fight at 145. Wants to beat guys on the radar, so he'll get on the 145 roster in the UFC.

yep maybe so. Certainly has experience advantage against much better competition and he's still young enough to not even be at his peak yet

Yeah, I'm thinking his heart is completely in this. He's only ever been finished once, and it was by a rear naked choke in his last fight by a guy much bigger and stronger than he is. Dude is tough and smart, I don't think he will be finished, and the chances of him losing a decision aren't likely, either. He's got the chin, he's got the jitz (is BJ Penn's training partner,) he's got the size advantage, he's got the experience advantage, and on top of all that, he's got the heart and the drive to get this win.

He took a year off after being cut from the UFC, got his shit together, improved, got back in it, put 3 wins together, then lost to a much bigger dude. A drop to 145, his natural weight class, is what he needs to do. He held his own against and even beat some top 155ers, at 145, he should be better. He should be able to beat this guy.

I have a play on him at -210, so regretting pulling the trigger early... but I only locked in a bit, knowing I'd be adding later.

I love how they ask him after the fight, "Hey, you interested in a title fight at 155?" he's like eh i dunno. Probably not the response they were looking for. He definitely looked good enough to be competitive in the big league's. Made Nelson look bush league and he has a couple W's in the ufc.

Yeah, the Nelson bet was bad on my part, as I didn't do much research on Nelson. Didn't even bother to watch a single fight. Big mistake.

Mutapcic busted Henle's knee with a leg kick, tearing his ACL. Crazy sh*t, feel sorry for Henle, wonder how long til the vid is out...

I should have tried watching some footage on him. Only lost $42, so it didn't hurt me at all. I'm lucky the line stayed at -210 the entire time (on my book that never adjusted the lines for this card, and took all the fights down just as the event started,) otherwise I would have probably added $150 or so more when the line dropped.
