This thread isn't important, and if you really don't care about what someone on a forum thinks of you, it should be no problem for you to stop this before it gets to the point where you're stopping because he out-lasted you and you just don't want to do it anymore.

I hope you don't take this as a shot against you as, again, I like your analysis, think you seem like a good guy and would love to discuss gambling and such with you as I'm sure I could learn a great deal from you, but I think replying to DeFacto anymore is going to be -EV for you from now on. The dust has cleared on UFC Nottingham after an emotional night for many – but in particular Stefan Struve, who broke down in revealing, after a ding-dong stand-up victory over Stipe Miocic, that he had trained for the fight with his father in a cancer ward. Struve had bottled the emotion and took it into battle with him.

Struve grew in this contest, not just as a fighter, or a main-eventer, but also as a man. The 7ft giant is still only 24 years old, and yet he has been training against heavyweights since he was just 14, when he already stood at 6ft 4 ins tall.

Struve finished the fight with brutal stoppage in round two. For me, Miocic edged the opening round, but in the second, they exchanged again and again, both men in trouble. Yet it was Struve who was to force the TKO stoppage at 3 mins 50 seconds of the second period.

"The guy’s a stud,” UFC President Dana White told me afterwards, on hearing that Struve had faced personal family issues leading into the contest, and had contained it within himself.

Struve moved himself into the top ten heavyweights on the UFC roster against the dangerous Miocic, whose heavy hands will always be dangerous. In many ways, Struve outboxed the boxer, and if there was one criticism, it is that he tightens his defence. Yet what Struve did do as effectively as he has ever done, is that he used his height and reach to his advantage.

He then explained: “My dad has been dying of cancer for about two months so this was for him tonight. He is in his therapy for four weeks now and I heard he is doing well, but still.” We wish his father well.
