Raiders (and others):
*I think we present a pretty un-biased view on BTC in here. I wanted to address one trend.

It's the current hype factor. Or lack thereof:
*As bitcoin enthusiasts, we tend to have blinders on. We think that Bitcoin is the only logical solution.
...What about the others (who have not taken the leap yet)?
...Reasonable estimate of understanding Bitcoin is to do 20 to 40 hours of research. How many non-Bitcoiners have put in that time?
...Google search trends say that "Bitcoin" search is down by as much as 50% (from four years ago).
...Go back to the saying of "Follow the Money." The ETFs and BTC treasury companies are stock-piling. They're front-running before the supply dries up.
...That means that the demand is somewhat limited. The populous hasn't figured it out yet.
...If you're wondering why the price isn't going parabolic, I think this is a reason.
...Take-away = BTC is on sale. Won't last forever.

Other coins are better as far as speed, although BTC is the safest since the code is the toughest to hack. These EFTs have changed the landscape and the US is very important for the BTC price. It wasn't always this way since Asia was more important in the beginning.

Whether you like Trump or not, he's been great for BTC. His motives were partly personal since he's made a fortune in crypto but the reason isn't important to us. The US economy is booming right now and that leaves money for investing.

My hope is that the OTC crypto dries up and some of these big purchases have to be done on public exchanges. The other hope is that the 4 year cycle is over although I'm not counting on that.

Yes, that was an interesting point in the conversation . How the masses just don't care if an investment is used for good or evil. For example, a person who is philosophically anti-war might be investing in Raytheon or numerous other war manufacturers. Does-it-make-money is more important....

Eh, China uses a social credit score. Don't break the law, don't jaywalk, pay your bills on time, etc. and you will have a good score. Kind of like a report card on how good a slave, I mean, citizen you are.

1) Per Arky's comments, this govt-issued CBDC could be bad.
...Reference the Canadian trucker situation. It's a way to lock up people's $$ if they don't consent.
...They can put an expiration date on the money. Very bad.

2) Per usual, zoom out on the price.
...It's almost doubled in the L12 months.
...Some holders do sell when it's frothy. So, take that into account.
...Preston Pysh has mentioned BTC as the new hurdle-rate. And it's a big CAGR.

3) Emerging trend on BTC treasury companies.
...Companies are now hiring bright young minds as BTC Investment Officers.
...Jeff Walton, Jeff Park, Joe Burnett. Very bright minds. They get it.

The interview is about how that can be used as a proxy for what a CBDC could do whilst the administration can still claim to be against central govt control.

This stuff is an easy sell as it can be explained as a way for US based institutions to control crypto and world trading currencies... whist ignoring/denying that it will result in any of the bad things about an official govt backed CBDC, like control of who can spend and tracking every cent. Which appears to be a "lie" according to this woman.

A much more useful listen than youtube crypto shills.

From my reading, I think it's linked. When we're talking govt-issued digital money, the govt could LOCK UP your money if they deem that you're doing something to hurt society.

If you believe Roger Ver in his latest book, Hijacking Bitcoin, it has already happened to Bitcoin. (but still a pretty good investment, FWIW)

2) IMHO, BTC is the coin moving up the adoption curve. In my mind, it's settled that BTC is the coin that people will be seeking out.

Cool. I didn't read the book but have heard a lot about it. I had heard that there were actual deep state actors who had infiltrated the BTC programming group. That they were put there to "steer" BTC in a different direction - less decentralized, less "free". Is that the way you remember it?
