Wow! I hadn't used my blockchain wallet in awhile. The fee was ridiculous. I only moved 101.86 of BTC and the fee was 15

LOL yep, the whole point of BT-C was for anonymous transactions like for sending gambling money overseas.
Now it cost 14 or 15 dollars to send 50 or $100. And all of a sudden people want to treat it like a stock investment &
just sit there and hold it and stare at the price every day. Not that I care, but so much for its original purpose!Comment -

#2319Anyone care to comment on the current status of Bitcoin fees and transaction time. As more people come into the space, they'll realize that this ain't free, and it isn't immediate processing.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had a T/A. I used to select the lowest fee, b/c I was ok waiting a bit. But not if the T/A might get hung up.
Anything to worry about? Does it open a window for a different coin? I repeat my comment about MUCH of the world population being impoverished and how they won't enjoy fees that constitute a hi% of their T/A.
Earlier I had transferred the two coins from Coinbase Pro to this intermediate source. The BTC fee was 0.06% (trivial amount), while the ETH transaction cost 1.2%. If these are indicative, then I don't see using ETH again.Comment -

#2320Salud, bsims. Thanks for the info. Yeah, hi gas-fees for ETH (as they call it).
I did a LTC t/a yesterday. Was very happy. The confirmations come thru within minutes, and the fee was micro-scopic.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

#2321LTC seems to be the best for those transactions right now. Instantaneous and very very low fee.
ETH used to have reasonable fees but has gotten out of control. I read that the fees are cheaper at night.
When I tried that out, the gas was only $7. Not bad for sending a bunch to cold storage.Comment -

The question is which ones will do much better.
You say "very safe. lol"
Several people in this thread have told it is trash and security is an issue.
I hope you do good with it, but realize it has issues and will not have a higher roi than 50 other coins.
If you want to present any good info here on why it is a solid choice, go right ahead.
But otherwise touting BCH is like touting a D rated sportsbook.Comment -

#2329Salud, pablo. Thanks to Raiders and others for getting me onto ETH.
Not my favorite coin. Would like to feel better about the absolute supply.
Put it this way. I would consider selling some ETH for walk-around $$. Conversely, no way I'm selling my BTC.Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

Amazing that ETH was $119 a little over a year ago.
Luckily I have a few other coins that have done well for me and I will take profit from those in a couple months.
Been holding tight on everything, and glad I did.Comment -

#2333I feel the same way as you do about letting go of any BTC, but I am feeling the same way about my ETH right now.

Y'all get ready for ETH to explode to even higher highs! Simply because I moved all my ETH to my Bit-Pay
cred-card last night at ETH price of $1992. I can't have the shit sitting there like y'all or I'd send it in and
gamble it like I've already done about 6 times in the last 3 weeks. Oh well it is on the C-card now!
Y'all enjoy the huge gains that are coming!
I think my ETH S-book payouts were at $1700 so I still made over 10% in 2 or 3 weeks!Comment -

#2336You came in at a very good time buddy, congrats. I have nearly 60k spread across BTC, ETH, LTC & now FIL. I have about 3.5k in my Bookmaker & Heritage sports accounts & no other money to invest. I usually keep 2,500 in the checking for monthly bills. So I’m missing out on potential gains since I’m basically strapped to buy more new coins. My new job will just keep my checking account a float. I haven’t had a full time job for more than 30 days since 2016. Just been making money online with sports & crypto. Now I work at a local casino which is cool.Comment -

People are just buying it and sitting there holding it! I only sold my ETH at $1992 last night because I can't hold the
shit without sending it in and gambling it. Hell it is already up over 5% (almost 10%) more since last night.
Edit, I mean it was dumb to sell/transfer it to my bitpay card right before the weekend when all the crypto
goes up, AND it was dumb to sell it in April which has always been a great month for cryp. But I was
afraid I'd gamble it on the final 4 if I didn't convert it! Hell I guess I coulda waited til FRI/ today!Last edited by JoeCool20; 04-02-21, 06:21 PM.Comment -

#2341Question for all y'all that deal, trade, use, move crypto way more than me.
Is their a cheaper wallet for me to use vs blockchain? I have Coinbase for just me buying and holding, but I was told not to use it as a wallet for moving anything, and to have a separate wallet for that. I do play around and scalp BTC on Robinhood, but that's all I can do - buy, sell, buy, sell, etc.
So if I choose a different wallet vs Blockchain will I get cheaper fees?
What about any of these: Biance, Point Pay, or Paxful?
Appreciate it.Comment -
