yea you know my feeling on cards and sweeps, that said dont think im looking to fade them today... unusual lineup they have for this gm, with the wind blowing out and the heat Lynn may get touched up a little (although it hard to trust kc to score), Sanchez is a big inning waiting to happen with the way he struggles with control.. agree with you, over seems like as good a play as any on this one..

i wouldn't feel like a sucker. it may well be because of the official announcement that the roof is closed (i'd just assumed that it would be). similar thing happened with Jays/Marlins total.

yea all is good.. work has finally eased up enough where i have a little extra time (hard to cap gms working 60-70 hr a week, barely left time for anything but gym and sleep)....good to see you still around my friend..

thanks a lot for the kind words, fellas. 36 holes of golf and early morning starts both days had me beat by last night, passed out shortly after 8. would've had a cup of coffee and stayed up had A's walk-off homer not killed a 6-teamer that i placed with a 20 buck free play (Rangers were the ass-end of that parlay). that and England's inability to convert penalties were the low points of the weekend, can't complain about that.

Sounded like you had a pretty good weekend, Biff. Even though you'e been grinding the past few weeks, a nice relaxing weekend is always fun.

I'm seeing the same thing as you are on those Monday plays; STL and the Sox/Twins under both look pretty good.

I have a question for you though as I don't play too many totals and notice you play them quite frequently --- is it worth laying the extra juice (-118 today) for the 8 in this game when 7.5 is only -105? Some situations can get a bit more extreme and go -125 for the better total but only -105 for the worse. 55.5% breakeven at -125 or 51.2% breakeven at -105. Thanks

thanks, exhoosier. my rule is that i'll pay extra juice (more than -110) to avoid a loss (i.e., on a whole number) but not to buy a win (i.e., on a number involving a half-run). so, i probably wouldn't pay juice as high as -118 on 8.5 or 7.5. i feel more strongly about that on 7 and 9 than on 8 and 10 (given that a 3-3 or 4-4 tie with 7 or 9 respectively means that there will be an extra run), but i still pretty much always stick to that rule. for me to play a total, my model has to perceive there to be at least .75 runs of value, so when i stick to this rule, i have to be off by 1.75 runs to lose (as compared to just 1.25 if i played a number involving a half-run like 7.5 of 8.5). in my mind, that's a good use of 18c juice. i also like both team total unders here, and obviously feel good that we won't see both teams get 4 runs. BOL whatever you decide.

Yeah I hear that man. I only work about 45 hours a week but with a 13 month old baby it feels like 60-70 a week sometimes haha. I have been trying to be more selective with my plays this year which has helped a little. Luckily I have avoided Tigers games for most part gambling wise. There just not very fun to watch right now, although I do kind of like them tonight as a dog. GL all lets kill it today!

haha, i thought about you at the end of the Tribe game actually. glad that at least you did not lose.

totally agree on Stras/Rocks total. Rocks TT under probably worth a look, Nats ML is great parlay material but that game's a pass for me (though i'll probably watch a bit).
