have you seen this max scherzer's numbers in the minors? and his early mlb stats? lotsa k's and low amount of hits and walks.... he might catch some people by suprise

oh and this scherzer guy apparently will be extra motivated, pitching in front of his his fam and friends since he is from st. louis..... that can work either way... but with a fastball pitcher like him... gotta think the adrenaline flowing with mom, pop and gf in the stands is gonna ad 2-3 mph's to an already lively fastball....

record smecord.... do you think there is a strong correlation between pitchers and run support??? I wouldn't be so bold to bet on that.

I won't bet for starting pitchers alone, but I most certainly would not bet based on a certain pitcher getting an avg of 2 or 1.5 runs per start.

now looking closer at this game, I'm starting to lean towards an under play. wainwright is good at home.

the umpire is a great under home plate ump... calls alot of strikes and high strikeout ratio...

Cardinals couldn't score in a brothel over the last month - 90 runs in last 25 matches is the worst record in mlb. On top of that, the missing many.

Yet they're winning 2-0. Baseball is weird sometimes :-)
