I usually only bet dogs, but I would like to say I stop at -145 to -150. I actually don't like to go above -135. I started to adjust things in August, and have been doing fairly well.

The only real concerns I have with LAD as a 2* play instead of a standard 1* play RJT is that 1) Milwaukee hits LHP very very well as you know 2) Suppan (while an average pitcher at best) does have very solid numbers historically in August and as a veteran pitcher I feel he is a very strong advantage over Kershaw. In addition, Suppan is in good form right now as he's put together 3 or 4 straight strong starts. 3) Milwaukee is clearly a better offensive team than LAD even with Ryan Braun out of the lineup.

I will say though, 1) LAD has a pretty big edge in bullpen, although their bullpen blew it yesterday...do note, however, Jonathan Broxton is not likely to pitch today after having pitched the past 2 nights. 2) Teams on the final game of two or more road series are major fades.

            Good luck.....

Kershaw's really rounded into form since being called up a second time. He's been outstanding in his last 4 starts, and when he's on there's no comparison between he and Suppan, who's always a candidate to get hit if his control is the least bit off. Above all else, the main reason for playing the Dodgers bigger is I hate a pretty strong inclination the line would move in my favor.

Excuse me while I repeatedly punch myself in the face for betting the sorry Tigers.

suppan has 3 straight road wins and in thos three games only gave up five runs in 22 innings
plus in sevin home starts kershaw is only 1-2 so he just doesnt seem to get the job done

How about that sorry ass FLA manager. That might have been the worst managing I've seen all year in the top of the 7th inning. I hate it when managers mess things up like that....

I am not going to bet the MIL/LAD game but I think situationally LAD is a strong play. I am just going to go to the dog park, take my walkman, and listen to what I expect to be a very competitive game.

                            Good luck RJT.....

I was watching the game on the Marlins telecast and they were making a big deal about the pen being in rough shape with Gregg and Lindstrom having worked in the first two games of the series. That still doesn't justify leaving Pinto, a lefty, out there in the 7th to face Soriano, Theriot, Lee and Ramirez, all right-handed hitters, particularly when Kensing, a RHP, was throwing in the pen and available while all this was going on. Poor managing indeed.
