Agree, losing a -1½ run line in the last half-inning when the frame started with your guys up 3+, or tie game extra innings on the +1½ side, that leaves a mark.
Or how about when you have an Under 9½, it goes to the ninth with one team ahead 3-2, and they both go crazy for something like a 6-5 final? And the flip side to that is having Over 9½, score is 4-4 after four, and it winds up 5-4.

Run lines are always tough losses. One tough loss I had was when the Mariners faced the A's at home. The game was 2-0 bottom of the ninth and Jack Cust led off with a homer. Then 2 outs later, Kurt Suzuki got a homer to tie the game. Then in the tenth, Emil Brown had a walkoff homer.

part of sports betting, you will always feel the tough losses more than the wins

I think when Twins blew 10 runs in the 7th inning a few days ago was pretty bad itself. I was happy since i was on Seattle though :P

Having lead for 8 innings in a low scoring game, giving up a run to tie, then not batting a man in top of 9th with sac fly 1 out. I think 99/100 when the man fails to get the sac fly or hit the next batter strikes out to end the inning- almost a foregone conclusion.

why would you bet against the better team with the better pitcher on the mound? you got your even money bet and lost. meanwhile my -235 is a winner.

Thats not being negative brady thats being honest with him. Being honest with people will help people in the long run learn from their mistakes. If you don't think the padres could win the game straight up then why would you back them +1 1/2? Why not jus ttake the mets?

I agree with Pat, you should always bet on the team you think is going to win. Not on the team that you think is going to lose by only 1. And ML is the best way to go.... I've loss wayy too many games due to 9th inning mess ups. Not worth it, just find the team you are pretty confident in.
