griffey isnt what he used to be. hes still a good hitter but he was the best hitter of the 90's era imo. If it wasn't for his injuries he'd be crawling towards 800 homers right now.

I know that what the ChiSox are hoping.

I do think he'll get a bump from being away from all the losing in Cincy and being in a race. And I expect him to hit better the rest of the way. But he was only hitting .245 in one of the best hitters parks in the majors. It's gotta make ya' wonder at least a little bit, doesn't it?

The question is can he still play centerfield? As you said, time will tell...
