#1Lost $827 in two days.On Saturday I had $300 on the Pitt/Colorado over 11.5+105,well there were 8 runs scored after 2 innings and then nothing. So that bad break lead me to make some poor decisions as like dumbass I put $344 on Greg Norman to win the British Open to win $923.He choked as usual and I realized how stupid that was.I originally had put $144 on it,but changed my mind and lost $200 more. I never bet on golf, but the media mislead me into believing that Norman would win this.He shot a +7 for the day.Lost the rest on parlays, but I know for a fact if that Pitt/Colorado game goes over then I wouldn't have been chasing which is why I bet so much on Norman.I sent $300 of my own money and worked it up to $827 after winning a 4 team parlay for $527 on the first day,but then I go a make a huge bet like the $300 on the Pitt/Col over, that was the start of my downfall. If I would of kept it simple and not wager so much then I wouldn't be cleaned out in my account. No more side bets for me as for reasons I can't explain I rarely win them, but I can hit parlays so go figure.Learn from my mistakes and don't let your emotions drive your decisions.Well I'm taking some time off from gambling so hope this helps anyone who is coming off a bad loss, don't chase because when you do it usually ends bad just like in my case.

#3Well I should of had Harrington as his odds were at +265.Your advice made since, but I guess I wasn't thinking clearly as Norman faded on the back nine.I'm use to shooting myself in the foot as I cannot count how many times I've built up my bankroll only to lose it making poor decisions.Well good luck to you.Comment -

#4That's gambling ups and downs, you can comeback. The hardest thing to do is take your losses the same way as your wins, regardless of the outcome on to TOMORROW. Having that mind set will allow you to make rational decisions. GL the rest of the way and keep an eye on the Braves tomorrowComment -

#10There was a fantastic post on here today about bankrolls/rules/percentage per bet etc and it was a really good read, made a loada sense, I would suggest you read it, it might change the way you look at the game. I read a similar articleon here a month ago and im losing less.Comment -

#11Hey Lumps, dont feel bad man, ive been there, more than once
The way I deal with it now is
a) whenever I feel the 'tingle' to wager a large amount, i just think of that last time I lost one of those bets
b) never watch games that you bet on live, just check the scores after, it seems to take the edge off...
c) If you still cant control yourself, take that same amount of cash your about to wager and look at in IN YOUR HAND... this will give you a very different feeling about the money. Looking at $300 on the computer is VERY different than holding it.
Hope this helpsComment -

#17Atlanta 46-52 (Road: 15-32) 7:10pm ET
Florida 52-46 (Home: 28-21) SS, SUN
ATL: J. Campillo (4-4, 3.06)
FLA: C. Volstad (2-0, 0.84)
........................................ ......................
Atlanta doesn't play well on the road and just lost a series to the NATIONALS!
Marlins just took a series from the Phillies, who are doing very good this season, and should be able to roll into Monday taking game 1 from these Braves.Comment -

#18Great advice above. You have to be emotionless in this business. Meaning that you stick to your strategic plan (assuming your plan has the necessary advantage built in to make profits in the long run) no matter what is happening. Really good handicappers win about 55-65 out of every 100 bets (of course, this figure gets lower with ML sports). That means that they are losing 35-45 out of every 100. So bad streaks happen. I am in the worst streak of my life right now. Am I doing the wrong things? Nope, but anyone who tells you that they don't experience losing streaks has probably been broken more times than not. I have been looking at the scoreboard and smiling the last two weeks because of the bad breaks that I have been getting. But you know what? I am getting up tomorrow, executing my plan, and getting some work done. I am not going to change a single thing. It's a new week, so good luck to all and lets grind out some profits!Comment -

#19stick with it USC, laws of math say things will turn around soon.
The books bank on you going on tilt when that losing streak comes, and it always does...Comment -

#20Ouch! like what Brady2Moss said about looking at the amount of money by actually holding it in your hands. same applys in a casino with the chips. If people saw it as cash they wouldn't bet as reckless.Comment -

#23Watch out for the ATL. They might play with purpose after getting embarrased by the Nationals.
Also, that Marlins starter has not pitched that many innings. So the 0.84 ERA may be deceiving.Comment -
