Thx onlooker-- always with the good info. Harrison has been good lately at AAA, 5 ER in his last 3 starts (19 innings). Hoping he can come through tonight for me.

angels are too good of a team to get beat by a minor leaguer..if they do lose he wont be part of the equation I would have to think

Saunders is 6-2 away, even better record than at home.
Harrison is a good AAA pitcher but he's gonna get jumped tonight. And if he does well the Rangers will still have to deal with Saunders. He has not given up more than 3 runs in an away start/
I took the Angels big on this one, I thought they would have been an bigger favorite than they are now.

you just nailed it right there. 12 game winner all-star pitching against rookie 1st timer. This line is short. That alone should make you stay away from the Angels today.
Consider this:
Angels have 2nd best record in baseball.
Angels are 28-15 on the road.
Saunders has 12wins already, great stats, and an all-star.
Texas is throwing a rookie making debut.
Majority of action is on Angels, yet line hasn't moved up.
Considering all this, why are the Angels only small favoritve today????????????????????

Here are the problems with the Angels, the way I see it:
- Joe Saunders is not a good pitcher. His babip-against has been unsustainably low and indeed his luck has been running out lately.
- The Angels do not hit well.
My concern with the Rangers is that they don't hit lefties particularly well, but I think with Saunders they will make an exception.
Edit:
I'm wrong about his babip, it's a little on the low side, but nothing crazy. Was looking at the wrong pitcher. Anyway, I do think he's pitching over his head and the Rangers will hit him.
