Had the Twins. Unbelievable that Gardenhire pinch hits Monroe in that spot. I understand he wants a righty v. lefty matchup, but Monroe's hitting .141 against LHP. He's also a terrible contact hitter who strikes out a ton, making him a poor choice when you just need a flyball to take the lead. I don't have a problem hitting for Kubel, but it should have been Mike Redmond (career .330 against lefties) pinch-hitting, not Monroe. Awful managing. No surprise coming from Gardenhire.

I don't think there's any question. That's a great organization, but they've won in spite of him.
