I agree.
Yankees better dump him if they want to get back to the top, and win championships again.

ARod is "The Cooler" ... teams always get better when he leaves (see: Mariners winning 116 games the year he left, the Rangers going from last place his last year there to battling for first into September the very next year) and worse when he arrives (see: Yankees making the Series 6 times in 8 years, then not making it again, and being a part of the greatest choke in sports history) ...
Boy, he sure is great ...

He's lost a step defensively... no longer an elite CF. Absolutely terrible contract, one the Halos will regret tremendously in 2-3 years. Never come close to hitting .300, driven in over 100 only twice despite being surrounded with great talent much of his career. He's comparable to Aaron Rowand, minus all the hype.

Not good when you're 32 years old, in the first year of a $90 million deal and compare favorably to the likes of Juan Encarnacion and Preston Wilson. At least not good for the Angels, that is.
the numbers may compare to preston wilson and juan encarnacion but those guys were always hurt, always. and they never played d like torrii
he is still a top 5 defensive cf. maybe top 3. but yes, he is overpaid, u r right

My top 3:
1. Andruw Jones, $14,726,910 Only a .165 batting avg with that salary!!!
2. Richie Sexson , Salary: $15,500,000 DH hitting .220... The only thing he needs to do is hitting..
3. Carlos Delgado, Salary: $16,000,000 Hitting .230 and got 8 errors this year (got a total of 8 errors last two years)

Take Pudge off your list.
He has helped teams win titles. That is what it is all about. Players with stats and zero world series rings like ARod, Bonds are the over rated ones

Bonds was the man. Everybody wants to cast a shadow of doubt on his entire career, because he used steroids to prolong his abilities to play past 35. No matter what, you can't deny the man's pre-steroids accomplishments.
A-Rod is another great player, but his salary kills team unity. He's cocky about his talents and demands a ridiculous paycheck to justify his self-image of "greatness." That kind of attitude offends teammates and disturbs clubhouse moral which always translates into a losing team.

It's no surprise. They work hard initially to get locked into a nice hefty salary and then don't care after that. It's the ones that do care that go on to win a world series.
