Do not be fooled by ERA and WHIP. Blackburn has been the better pitcher by far this year.

Perhaps but his games started is too small of a sample size so I'd rather use all of his stats. Regardless, McClung has been lucky this year and he isn't as good as his ERA and WHIP indicate. That's all I was trying to show and the fact that he hasn't started all year doesn't really change that.

Actually, the fact that he started the year in the bullpen and had a high LOB% is generally a good stat. That means he was generally able to hold with no further damage. And his starting numbers are very similar to those of Blackburn's.

Ahh yes. Luck and regression are nearly identical. LOL. A bit testy after one single reply in disagreement. I guess it remains unclear to me how I should address a blanket statement such as "that guy is lucky." A very informed and factual argument indeed. Thanks for your amazing insight.
