TB had a perfect opp. to go over 9.5 themselves there in the 2nd although I am just looking for the outright win bases loaded no outs and 1 run

I know. I'm kinda pissed, but there will be many more opportunities.

It looks like Garza has a no-no on his hands. That's not good for my over. I don't care if he gets it, I just need 5 more runs from tampa.

"0" more runs. I played the under. I just hope deez boneheads don't give up any runs in the later innings.. I had a feeling this was on the under because those 2 pitchers squared off a month ago and it was an under game 4-1. That was the only under between these 2 teams. I felt since they knew each other well the game would be played tight. So far so good..

Yeah, but this is an irregularity, Garza pitching a 1 hitter. I thought he would give up some runs as well. That's why I took it.

Are you kidding me?? Why would u think the Marlins would have gotten some runs off of Garza when they only mustered up 1 run off of him a month ago in Tampa..

What do you mean?? it has alot to do with today's game. In that game a month ago those same 2 pitchers squared off in Tampa Bay. These 2 teams went over the totals in all their meetings except the 2 meetings when Karza and Hendrickson squared off. These 2 teams played a total of 6 times this year with 4 of the 6 games going over. The only 2 that went under were the ones where Karza and Hendrickson were pitching.
Florida only recorded 1 run off of Karza in that game.. It looked like Florida still didn't learn a thing from last month. They still got what, 1 run off Karza and the game went under just like last month.. History repeats itself if you don't learn from your mistakes..

i have seen a million games
i have seen 1-0 shutouts between two pitchers and a week later i have seen it be 8-7
so no, i dont agree that games have anything to do with another
a pitcher may have hise stuff or not have his stuff
hitters may be slumping or hot
history may repeat itself but baseball isnt history, its a game between men who make mistakes some days and not others

its also fairly easy to call games after they are over, and to rip people for getting them wrong
tampa got 6 runs, meaning you knew garza would allow one run? has he ever k'd 10 before? has he ever had a no no thru 7?

fair enough
nevertheless. tampa got 6 runs. so its not like the over wasnt in reach
who knew garza would do that against a top 5 offense in the nl
i didnt bet the game, i am just telling you, one game has very little to do with what happened a month ago

hmm, did you see the last game between those 2. yesterday, a closing pitcher for Florida walked 2 or 3 Tampa players when the bases were loaded. He walked them back to back to back. That game was not supposed to go over as I bet that game yesterday on the under.. The game was pushed over by a bonehead closer who felt the need to walk 3 guys across home plate (in the 8th inning I believe) when the bases were loaded... That game was clearly an under to me and it went over by 1 run. If that closer didn't walk those 3 men home, it would have been an under by 2

but walking batters is part of the game
if garze allows 2 doubles instead of 2 ks its a different game
