    3 MLB Plays for Wednesday (121-130, -0.77)
Well, I have finally erased most of a 13-unit deficit after a 2-1, +1.22 Tuesday (Thank you Twins +145), so I feel like my season starts today. Another 3-Pack:

    Giants +147 (5 Dimes)
    Rangers/Astros UNDER 9.5 -115 (WSEX)
    Rockies/Royals UNDER 8.5 +101 (5 Dimes)

    YTD: 121-130-1, 48.2%, -0.77

Bumping because of so many posts in Tuesday's thread. Didn't want today to get buried.

      LT,
In my on-going quest to become a better capper, could you educate me as to why you're behind Zito?

He's been god-awful in his last three starts. 0-2, 8.53 ERA in 12.2 innings of work.

Sowers hasn't been a helluva lot better in his last three. 0-2, 7.53 ERA in 14.1.

Zito's road ERA (5.25) is better than Sowers' home ERA (6.52).

So, is what did the fact that there isn't a whole lot to choose from in the starters ERA in the last three push you to the dog? Or did Zito's road ERA being better than Sowers' home ERA do it? Or am I, once again, completely off base?!? LOL

      Thanks for the on-going education!!

      Doc

I like the Giants today too!! Sowers is every bit as horrible as Zito and Cleveland hits .232 vs lefties this year. Good value play

            Mr. H,
            I get that. I do.

Folks like LT, BBD, Pags and others have helped me become a lot less square than I used to be since I started hanging out here at SBR.

I understand that sometimes when you play dogs, you just have to hold you nose and pull the trigger. It's just that Zito has been soooo bad pretty much all year long...

Apparently, Zito is more relieved to be pitching away from home these days, as he has been abysmal at San Francisco where he has been booed mercilessly. It also helps his cause here that the Indians are batting a pathetic .186 vs. left-handed pitching in the last 10 games. Besides, Sowers has not exactly been lights out for Cleveland, going 0-2 with a 6.57 ERA and a hideous 1.74 WHIP. He cannot be trusted laying this much juice.
